What kind of temps did you get when running this on air if you ever did JKershner?

That's great OC, and nice temps too. Congrats. Now, only missing to do some CPU benchmarks, to see how this beast behave.![]()

I didn't run it on air at 5Ghz, I did run it at 4.8Ghz on air though. Pics will come soon once the cooler review has been posted.

Nice job! I finally got my FX8350 to a stable 4.680. Not quite 4.7... But right there.. It took a strong bowl of cush and some random ideas and calculations..but i got it there...

Quite the cooler you have there. Gonna go and read the review now,........
Strong bowl of cush? LOL! Yeah that makes for some awesome calculations,...................
I agree. Some of the OCs I've seen here are awesome. Throw in some cable management and quality build processes and they are top notch.

That is an amazing OC on that FX6300 totally awesome! I would be proud to hit that goal on my build when its finished! LOL If I ever finish it! Congrats! By the way thats a Huge cooler there from where Im sitting! Now attach an air conditioner duct to that Cooler and go for 5.5 ghz!
Ive just seen my 6300 top at 5.1 (not sure how long though) even though I had only OC'd it to 4.1? It surprises me as I only have a hyper 212 evo!![]()

Ok guys my son's AMD FX 6300 was put back to stock even though it has an aftermarket cooler on it. So who is going to berate me for that? I had both of the pcs here overclocked pretty good but despite passing test after test and having many times where performance was good I put them back to stock finally. Thing is it hasn't stopped me from enjoying the games I play and I max or put close to max everything I play and I am playing at 1080p. Still after seeing these new posts talking about high overclocks it has me feeling not quite right and not so good about what I have done to these rigs. LOL!
I wish I could build pcs each and every single day for the rest of my life. PC FTW !
