    Default FInally hit 5Ghz on a FX-6300

    Been working on trying to hit 5Ghz since owning the Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 but couldn't do it due to VRegs overheating. Made it with the GB UD7 with cpu/mosfet block. TIM used was Tuniq TX-4

    Very nice overclock there Joe! hell with the cooling you have just set VCore to 1.55V and see what you can get x-)

    That would be an interesting method. I'm running a Koolance PMP-500, I believe the Alphacool Raystorm CPU block, EK Mosfet/NB paired with an XSPC RS360 (120mm fans in push w/ dual NZXT 200mm in pull).

    I recently read a review/test where they used spring water for watercooling, no pumps or anything ofc... If I remember correctly, they got temps all the way down to 6 degrees celcius

    LOL guys don't get it twisted: AMD chipsets have issues with their temp sensors: they are horribly inaccurate at lower temps to the point that they will read well below ambient temperatures. I have had a 4100 register at 9C... on stock cooling... they have to get hot to be accurate x-D

    Thats a killer OC Congrats!!!!! Im building a new Rig and going with the FX 8350 plan on using the same Motherboard you got Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 depending on the price of might step it down one to the
    Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5!!!! cant wait to get mine up and running but Congrats big time on OC that FX 6300!! Great Job!

    I'd rather have it's accuracy come into play at High Temps. Who cares about low temp readings if the Highs are wrong,...........
