    If you overclocked it then you should use Ram Cooler. I do.

    Deton what Ram cooler do you use? i'm contemplating between Corsair Dominator AirFlow and the OCZ XTC cooler...but i'm leaning more towards the corsair dominator cause the OCZ has got those LED Fans that looks too bright IMO

    Thanks in Advance

    Thanks,
    Yup, it's for front panel and DVD. Since then I've upgraded the sound card to Fatal1ty. I thought the Supreme Fx was good but the Fatal1ty is amazing, so scystal clear.

    Ok! I made it past 8 hours w00t! Temps were not bad at all. I kept running into all kinds of problems and in the end the only thing that saved me was the pure genius of this motherboard. I set the voltages for DDR and vCore to AUTO and that was it. I even went so far as 1.45v vcore and 1.94v ddr and was still getting problems which is weird because I was under the impression that more voltage = stability. But when set to auto my temps are lower at load and the voltage is way lower than I had set... 1.34vcore and 1.75 ddr. Weird stuff...

    Anyway,

    My RAM is also a little overclocked at 1466MHz 9-9-9-24.
    CPU at a 37.46% overclock with the cooling in my system is something I'm proud of.

    [RANT]
    Well, now I'm onto my next problem... I'm pretty sure my graphics card is in need of RMA... anyone ever had a monitor "lose connection" while loading into a game and get crazy garbled screenness? This also happens sometimes when I turn my computer on. Nothing's frozen... just the screen showing up all tweaked out. Card also got to 99C while playing Crysis and froze regularly in multiplayer until I turned all settings to medium... a 3870x2 can only run Crysis on medium??? Gimme a break...[/RANT]

    Thanks again to Deton for all your helpfulness!

    I haven't use OCCT for a while, since upgraded to Vista. Perhaps the compability issue with Vista:confused:
    I always like Prime95, it's support quad core. The most popular next to Orthos.

    @ P3RH4PS, C2D requires different voltage than C2Q hope you're aware of this. About the HD3870x2 is never own it, like too though. Maybe imature driver?......Catalyst 8.2 is available, try it and let us know what happen.

    I think he was waiting for Q9xxx but he couldn't wait any longer. I bet he will upgrade the CPU as soon than you thought.

    Hey guys;
    I've just added Ram Definition to Post #25, page 2, if you didn't already know what DDR, CAS, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, tCLK, and EPP mean? .....then go take a peak.

    I actually been on 8.2 for a couple of days now, so it hasn't really helped. People in the ATi forums mostly all agree that the beta drivers actually still work better than the 8.2 drivers. Everyone is basically waiting for 8.3. We'll see what happens... in the mean time I'll go back to the betas and run some tests.

    Your rig. Is it a brand new built with HD3870x2 card or you just upgraded from Nvidia's card?

    If it were upgraded, you should remove all the Nvidia drivers/utility software completely or sometime you have to do a fresh install Windows. Any trace of Nvidia drivers could cause a problem, that's what I heard.

    That's a bummer for $500 grfx card and still not working perfectly.

    Hey P3RH4PS;
    I came across this tip from the other forums, I though I'd share it with you.

    "Was messing around with Crysis today and discovered that under Vista 64bit, if you go into the Crysis bin32 directory and run the game from there instead of the games panel it runs a heck of alot better on 3870x2! No more fps drops in the teens, lowest FPS go is 25 average 45fps and up to 60fps on some maps LOL This is running 1920x1200 object and texture detail Very High, Shaders high, water high, motion blur high and everything else medium except SQ very high.

    So it appears Crysis 64bit has issues, 32bit DX10 runs freaking great on 3870x2!

    Just a tip for anyone else having slowdowns in Crysis on Vista 64!"
