Default Help With My New Setup!

I've been looking into overclocking for a couple of days now and I'm getting a little overwhelmed. I'm a complete novice at this and I can't seem to put a finger on what I can and cannot do with my setup. I'm looking for someone with a little more knowhow to please help me out.

Ok, so my whole setup is in my system specs, but I'll lay a few things out here.

    RAM
    DDR3 667MHz (10666) 7-7-7-20 @ 1.8v
(I've heard it will easily get to 750MHz 8-8-8-20 @ 2.1v but I'm not really sure it's necessary)

    Processor
    C2D E6550 @ 2.33GHz
I think the multiplier is locked to 6/7 does this severely limit my capabilities or is there a way around?
    Bus Speed 333MHz

I read a certain overclocking guide that said you need to have the RAM at twice the speed as your Bus speed, but if that's the case then since my multipliers are so low and my bus speed is already so high, I'd have to really crank it up and my RAM can't handle that because I'm not willing to have my RAM go much higher than that safe 750MHz leaving my max bus speed to about 375MHz which leaves me with 375x7=2.625GHz?!

But I swear I've seen people posting higher speeds than that for my same processor with slower DDR2 RAM so am I missing some huge bit of info here? lol
I hope someone can put some method to my madness.

    Thanks for reading!

That's fine, but my main questions are with regaurds to RAM and the formula is a DDR2 board.

I'll read through there and see what I can find, but I just figured it'd be the wrong information for me and I'd be worse off. lol

P.S. I posted in there already so you can delete this if you like.

ddr3 means nothing for the moment actually.
if I would be you, I'd get some 1066 mhz ddr2 ram,
and overclock it to 1200 mhz easily with 5-5-5-15 timings.
it will be faster, easier, and much cheaper.

Well, I already purchased the RAM and the Mobo that only supports DDR3. I'm just gonna role with it.

(Working on it in the "Maximus Formula Club" thread)
