    Default My stable settings i7 3820

    Oke guys I now its a bit older cpu but maybe it helps somebody that has this cpu and whants to overclock it.

    I will post my stable 24/7 settings for the core i7 3820.
    My mobo is the asus rampage formula iv.
    The cpu is cooled by a corsair h75.

    My settings are

    BCLK: 125
    Multiplier: 37
    Memory is set to 1666Mhz with 9-9-9-24-1t
    Vcore: 1.34v
    VTT CPU Voltage: 1.125v
    Second VTTCPU: Auto
    CPUVCCSA Voltage: Auto
    DRAM Voltage on both Channels: 1.520
    CPU PLL Voltage: 1.81250
    CPU Spread Spectrum: Disabled
    PCIE Spread Spectrum: Disabled


    DIGI+ Power Control Options
    CPU Load-Line Calibration: High
    CPU Current Capability: 130%
    CPU Voltage Frequency: Auto
    CPU Fixed Frequency: 300kHz
    VRM Over Temperature Protection: Auto
    CPU Power Duty Control: T.Probe
    Vcore MOS volt. Control: Auto
    CPU Power Phase Control: on my bord this will change automatically to extreme when I set the cpu current to 130%
    CPU Vcore Bootup Voltage: Auto

    I DONT RUN PRIME95 FOR 24 HOURS

    the tests that I do are

    prime95 45 minutes
    intelburn test 10 runs at very high
    linx 45 minutes at all mem

    if it all passes I call it stable

    Your settings looks good, report your temps and if do not pass 75C per core on full load you're OK. It's no need for 24h of prime95 test, but 45min it's to low, I suggest you (if this is your final settings), to go with 2h of prime95 (blend), 20 pases of LinX64 (max mem) or 2h of aida64.

    Always look beyond the limits...

    I never run 2 hours of course everbody has to do what the think is oke.
    I run what I told before, after that I run a couple of cpu benchmarks, like blackhole H.264 and cinebench.
    And then the 3d mark benchmarks after tht I game alout, never had any problems with it.
