The second GTX-980Ti sent the scores over the top for me. I'm happy with this PC now.
Wow, great score, but I expect that you should pass the 20000 score with 2x GTX 980 Ti. Maybe the CPU is the limitation.

That could be. It's getting to be so old that it's growing hair on it.

I do have a Skylake build planned, but that's an i5-6600K. It ~will~ have 32GB of 3000MHz. RAM in it, and two new (RAID) 480GB HyperX Savage, empty SSDs in it too, but it's not an i7 part.

This box has a 240GB SSD that has less than 14GB free on it. I think that it could be slowing things down. The 2TB storage drive only has 100GB of space on it too.

If I had the cash on hand for a CPU, I could build an X99 box. I have everything for it already here, except for that i7-5930K.

With X99 and 5930K surely will pass the 20000 score mark. My friend with 2x 780ti and 5820k (i7 5820@4.5GHz + 2SLI GTX 780Ti@1116MHz Base Clock), done it.

Yeah, I think that a few updates will help the scores out somewhat.
But it's a slow process when you're living on a retirement income.

I'm running an EVGA 760, not a bad card for the price, but itching to do a new build later this year.
