Unhappy overclocking P5E, ethernet not detected!!

Hii... Guys have, i have one problem that i don't know what's the cause. When i overclocked , my computer

    - P5E ASUS MB
    - CORE 2 QUAD Q6600@3.96GHZ
    - 2 GB DDR2 800MHZ CORSAIR @880MHZ

Everything went fine, days after days it was all good, but until one day, when i restarted my comp, after mucking around with Dram timing, every drivers on my computer, got un-installed.
After installing every driver back , device manager or in network connections couldnt recognize or detect the ethernet adapter. After thinking it was windows fault, i re-formated my computer and installed everything again, but still device manager and in network connections, it still could not detect the ethernet.

I've tried updating the bios to its latest, and clearing Cmos, but still could not be recognized.

    Thanks guys please comment
also my temperature were around 30-45 degrees. Help me

have you definitely reinstalled the network driver for the board?

It sounds like a system restore prior to the install of the drivers, not sure why it would have done this, though.

hmm one time when my friends hdd went kaputz, we went out got a new one and installed xp back on it, had no audio and no internet even when hook up. in device manager it didn't detect the ethernet connection.

But for him the problem was solved when I found the motherboard Disc that came with his motherboard and installed the network drivers from that. if you tried it already from the disc then I took the liberty to look up the link to get the network driver you need.

Click LAN and scroll down till you find the right OS you have installed and hopefully this works for you buddy. Hope to hear good news for you.

Just a thought.....If you temporarily go to stock settings ( the ones that the board first booted at. If I remember that is the f2 option at boot) does the problem persist or is it only when you overclock?

Wondered if you inadvertantly changed bios setting or is possibly akin to the pci lock to fsb problem that has been seen by some

edit: Oh.....Welcome to the forum too

could you start by posting more specs of your rig and while you're at it tell us where you are (US, UK etc)

    1. Can you remove all overclock?

    2. When you do this is problem still there?.....if yes then...

    3. Clear cmos either button or remove battery

    4. when you do this is problem still there..... if yes then

    5. After clear cmos try again to re-load from disk that came with board

Let us know how this goes

After that i installed vista and everything was all good. So thankx guyss!!
