    Welcome to PUREOC,
unfortunately I don't use that sound card. Have you try to update the latest driver for the card?
check if the speaker wire are not short or your any wireless devices close by your computer.

    Default silly question........

like i said earlier....i have only had this mobo for about a week
when i go into the bios on setup, there is no option for CPU level up,to change the processor
i do have manual, auto or CPU level up but have no choices as to what i can level up to...if that makes sense
i am new to overclocking and a bit nervous but i do want to try it

if you use CPU level up, the mobo will use the preset overclocked settings, i.e; if you have q6600 then it will the options of the next CPU level up, such as q6700, qx9650, q9750...etc. Check the manual book, it has the listing.

Select Manual and crazy will give you total customization freedom, you can push your CPU to the max.

no, CPU Spread and PCIE Spread spectrum will help overclocking stability, which is mean when you disable them you will have more of a change to achieve higher overclocking stability than you have them enable.

Hi, so i'm new to this whole thing, and just bought a new system which would be fun to OC..

If someone could help me with a certain issue before i start though it would be appreciated.

I have a IDE hard disk and dvd drive and when i tried to boot up it gave me a message about contacting my hardware manufacturer. Do i have to get a SATA drive to be able to boot up?

MIIF doesn't really support old IDE drive, especially with DVD drive, try to disable the SPEEDING HDD feature in the bios, set your IDE harddrive as you top priority boot.
However, your windows might not recognize the dvd drive. You might have to swicth over SATA drive though, it will solves all problem.

    Good luck.

AI Suite don't have that option, you have to do it through enter the bios.

Default RAM suggestion needed for my Max Form II . . .

Need a recommendation for compatible 2GB sticks that would be ideal for using the Level-up OC'ing feature with my E8600.

Have you look at QVL from Asus?
The most important get the one that is compatible with MIIF, I'm using OCZ (see rig specs) no problem what so ever, they are good and reasonable price too.

Is there a way to test and find Dram clock skews CH A1-B2?
I've been working on these settings, just not sure if I've been doing it right.
FSB 463 (which @ current Vcore has made prime fail within 3-4 mins) just for tesing purposes.
    Multi 9
    DRAM Freq DDR2-1116MHz
    CPU voltage 1.275
    PLL 1.553
    FSB Term 1.312
    Dram voltage 2.10475
    NB volltage 1.45775

Again, these are just for testing.
Not sure if Im allowed to post about things I've found from other forums, so I'll leave it at that.

    Anyways, heres how I'm testing.
with A2,B1,B2 on auto, Test ALL A1 settings with Prime to see which runs longest.
In my case it was Adv 300
A1,B1,B2 on auto, Test ALL A2 settings. Delay 200 ran longest
With A1 @ Adv 300, I then ran All setting for A2 again. This time Delay 50 for A2 ran longest.
Next I will set A2 to Delay 200 and run test on ALL A1 settings.
    I only have memory in DIMMs A1 & A2, so have tested B1 & B2.
Is this doing me any good, or am I totally off track on how I'm testings?
