I done this value change, with the result:

i goes better now, but still sametimes, the picture are frozzen... it appears now, 2 times by playing 3 hours l4d2.

    any other idea?

    - next step was to flash the bios up to 2202, but i dont think that will be a help....
    - plug in the new sata2 hdd and install Win XP again.

I have got the following hard drives, what make sense?

    1x WD 1500HLFS - Festplatte SATA-II 150GB Western Digital (velociraptor)
    2x 750GB Samsung HD753LJ

Install the OSes on the raptor hdd or put the 2 Samsung drive into a Raid 0, install there the OSes and use the Raptor for games?

At which entry is available for the "overall" 12volt entry@ Everrest?

    Many Thanks so far!

    regards

Hi Rul0r, lets try ruling out your gpu as the problem first.

You should try Rivatuner or EVGA precision and turn up the fan on the gpu to 100% then try to cause the problem again. If this solves the problem you can then try maybe 70% (which is quieter) if you are fault free still then you can set up a new fan profile which keeps the graphic card cooler

Btw, both of these will show a graph of your gpu temps
    Rig2: 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Asus z9 pe-d8 ws, 32gb ripjawsz under water, rig3 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Supermicro 7047A-T 16GB 1600 ecc reg, on air, Rig4: 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @3.1), Supermicro x9 DAi 16GB 1600 ecc reg, on air, Rig5: 2*e5-2660 (16c/32t @2.7), Supermicro x9 DRW iF 32GB 1600 ecc reg, on air

    Thanks!

My GPU has a constant temp. for 50% after 3 hour gaming and be using "furmark". and furmark runs clear.
i dont think it was the grafik card ... but i can try to play around with the FAN and look if anything happen..

It does not make any diference... when i gaming with 100% fan.
Any other helps? i think we need have a look on the cpu and ram ... maybe the board dont accept the 1066 for the ram ... i will set it back down to 800 and will see if the problem still exsits...

    Thanks!

Thanks mates, i sorted my problem out! it was the Ram. if i run the ram with 800 insteed of 1066

    • 4x 2GB OCZ Reaper HPC Edition DDR2-1066

it works ... i dont now, why the ram and prime test runs throw success ... and only going down why i try to play ...

for same reason the board didnt accept the 8Gb or can not go ahead with the high voltage ...

i am now using this ram:

    4x 2GB Corsair XMS2 DHX DDR2-800

with no error, just fix the settings (timings and speed). i am happy now and can go ahead with overclocking.
i replaced the the ram at the store, without probs.

    Many thanks!

Wow....your temps is pretty high. Did you do the washer mod?
I don't know how your board is stable when NB is 77C, normally this board will fail if the NB goes over 60c.

New thermal paste and mod will drop the temps tremendously.

Not yet but will do washer mod on weekend .

I got mobo for about half year and did not used crazy mode or any OC and didn`t have everest , for a month or so i have put mobo in crazy mode and got everest and i suspected that temps are over the limits especially temps of CPU , NB and GPU

Well to be honest i don`t know also , but it can get even higher around 85c(i think) , and it never failed or did the comp crashed or any bad thing , was able to play wow , grid , cod4 , crysis , BF Beta without problems , details ingame set to almost max .

Mine comp is more or less always on .

I will load comp when i got home and post some more infos about temps
Shall I use prime95 for load or play some demanding games ... ok I will use both and post the results .

    hi all
i have bought MIIF and i have a problem with ram, for first i have 4x2gb kingmax 1066mhz and they don't run, so i bought Kingston HyperX tall hs 2x2gb 1066mhz they work only in single channel (A1 & A2). i try to put them in blue slots and LCD poster "says" DET RAM, in white slots the same thing, in banks B1 and B2 the same DET RAM. i chcek QVL list and they are not in there i want to have 8GB of ram, if this will don't work on this ram i will buy some else sticks like:
    2x Geil Dual Evo 2x 2GB DDR2 1066mhz CL5 or
    2x Corsair Twin2X DDR2 2x 2GB 800mhz CL4-4-4-12 DHX

    what do you think?

Most Max boards are picky with the RAM, to be safe buy the one listed in the QVL.
However, I have no problem with OCZ ram, they are good mem and afordable too. Corsair is another good one too but I never use on the Max but I have no problem with other Asus boards thought.

I am using G-skill rams and never had problems with MIIF and ram .

Ok today is the day for disassembling the NB heatpipe and to bring some chill to that hot NB .

Yesterday was playing BF2 and comp never crashed temps of NB was 70-76c

Ivan, your board have been used therefore the paste might be harden up and it's much harder to remove, if you follow my guide how to remove it then you will be ok. However, be carefull with it, don't force it or DO NOT use any kind of sharp object to pry the heatpipe off or it will darmage.

    Good luck!

    Thanks Daton .

I manage to get of the heat pipe and clear the old paste apply new AS3 and assemble it again , it was a bit tricky because I was lazy to take of the water cooler block(changed the paste 1 week ago:rolleyes so it took me like 1 hour for the heat pipe moding . I have notice that there where added washers at screws near NB , but they still did not have enough contact so I have added 1 washer to holes with added one and 2 washers on the rest of the holes with no added washers .

NB temp is 50-55c without full load , did`t test load it yet .

But I manage to speed up mine GPU fan which was also too hot .

So I am very please to find this forum with MIIF fanclub , and I think I will not change mine comp configuration for a while .

Mine CPU temp can get to around 60c and I use water cooler and I believe it should be colder ... gonna try to find a forum about temps for mine CPU with normal and OC speed and temps.

    Best regards all

did you buy the board brand new or used?
It's look like someone already modded.

Thermaltake doesn't have good reputation about water cooling. 60c for Core2 is kinda high.
What's your ambient temp and Vcore voltage?

    Question about prime95 : did I put correct task for prime(link nr.1) ?

Bios : Crazy setup nothing manual added

    ambient temp is 24c

Vcore voltage ... if that is Voltages Values CPU core 1,26 in everest

Yea tell me about Thermatake ... I had leakage oh hose and connector in block ... the ring which is supposed to hold the hose firmly to connector did not do his job(i could pull the hose easy with a hand while connected)and guess what the outcome was !!???!!? new MB , sound card and graphic card , good thing i don`t have PS in lower part of the case .

Thanks for all your help for now
I am not so in the OC stuff so if I don`t understand something I will just yell "I am overclocking nooooob"
