    Personally I would just get rid of Vista and use W7 it is a far suppior OS IMO and reclaim the space from Vista, if a system restore didn't work maybe a clean install would help.

    Well no But i have a 120mm fan blowing towards it from left side of the case. I i think it will be ok because that chip doesn't need a good cooling at all. For now I'm without pci-e chip cooling for several months and it's ok for now....

    Thanks for the reply! I'm looing to use the Tharmalright HR-05 SLi/IFX as you did, and wanted to make sure your PCI-E was doing ok. I understand the HR-05 improved your SB temps? Thanks

    Default Late to the Party

    Hi Guys, Well I know Iím probably late to the party here but I have just gotten the overclocking\watercooling bug and need some expert guidance with OC my CPU.
    I have been playing around with the setting and managed to get her running at 3.6 stable with just voltage and FSB settings but she run's a bit hot for my taste, anyway I have used the settings from the table on the first page and she run's much cooler now but I cannot get her to run Prime stable, 2 of the cores fail almost immediately after running, any advice would be welcome.

    Hello guys (and gals?)
    I ve been around a long time , but almost 2 years after I visited this thread I join the lovely community of PuperOverclock.

    I m a really happy owner of a M2F, a 9550 E0 and I m waiting for these babes (RMA): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145270

    Once upon a time I had a c1 processor that hit 4ghz with 471fsb with some settings that I had found over XS but I traded that one with a E0.

    The fact is that i cant go over 450-455 FSB without problems , If anyone has a similar setup could just post some settings that I may try and see if that works.
    -the first page is AWESOME btw-
    Thanks in advance and hope I ll stick around the M2F Club ^^

    Hey fellas, really liked this thread, actually made me register on the forums. Sadly I still don't understand most of the M2F features to be honest, well mainly because I have a X58 platform now

    And my Q6600 G0 Was a bad clocker.. vid was at 1.325 Any suggestions ( on my M2F build ofc )? I managed to get it to 3.4 gaming stable, but prime fails, ( no bsod just stopped worker )

    hello. I have a problem with my performance PC.Jeśli anyone had a similar problem please help. My problem with the motherboard maximus 2 formula, I mean that there is a picture of relief but no fps drops. All cut-scenes tug games videos [as if it were lost frames] even if fps is 40fps while playing a movie cut-scenes look as though he had 18 fps. when watching videos on youtube the image of lint. There are also exemptions for extracted files. 700 mb video unpack once in 7 seconds, and for the moment as I tried to extract it again it will last 2 minutes. I mean mainly the exemption in games by not falling Fraps fps measured. My components are:

    Cpu c2q 9400 , motheboard maximus 2 Formula, DDr 2 1066 Crosair Dominator, sapphire radeon hd 5850 toxic, PSU Ocz Mod xtream 600 WAT

    I did not OC

    MIIF is P45 chipset and Rampage is X48 board. X48 is better however I like the MIIF aesthestic more than the Rampage.

    Yeah how much more you have to upgrade?

    If I were you save the money and go straight to X58 or P55 board instead, don't forget X68 and P65 are on the horizon.

    OK, so I'm thinking my Q6600 (B3) temps are way high, and on my second call to Intel, they issue me an RMA-

    --FAST FORWARD--

    UPS delivers a new Q6600 (G0) from Intel, (I'm d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y NOT complaining)-

    But now it looks like my Northbridge and Southbridge are running hotter than ever-

    I suppose I could do 'the washer mod', but when I re-applied TIM to the Northbridge a couple of months ago, it seemed snug-enough

    Any thoughts on these PROBE 2 temps? Thanks-

    Q6600 @3014.4MHz

    CPU Voltage =1.3125v
    CPU PLL =1.5v
    FSB Term =1.206v
    DRAM =2.1v
    Northbridge =1.33850v
    Southbridge/1.5 =1.5v
    Southbridge/1.1 = 1.1v
