Default EVGA classified unstable overclock During gaming but Passes LinX and Prime

When my system is on overclocked settings 4.2ghz HT enabled it has passed 20 times of LinX no worries, as soon as the game application is launched and the game begins, Boom! the display goes off into standby mode! need to do a reboot

But when my system is on factory settings, no issues at all it games fine etc...i totally have no darn clue why

Quite sure it aint the driver and Video Card issues, as i've tried catalyst 9.3 all the way to 9.6 all the same OC mode ... screen goes blank

non overclock perfect non problems... the system works well games fine etc...once it is overclocked the screen goes blank as soon as the game begins! this is really frustrating worst part is even on overclocked settings GPU benchmark programs works perfectly fine: FurMark, OCCT GPU test, Vantage and 3DMark all works in overclocked mode! As soon as a Game begins thats it ...blank screen!
here are my BIOS settings and if any1 can help i will be grateful. Thanks

Just tried loaded crysis benchmark tool and ran the program with 3 loops no problem!
especially considering that crysis benchmark tool is an in game test and not like 3DMark Vantage or 3DMark06 where it doesnt simulate true game play

this is really ironic and contradicting ... i'm thinking of reformating my Drive and see if it fix the problem!

Lots of people own this board, have their processors overclocked and play games, but most are using nvidia cards. Bully I think it's time for you to make the switch to nvidia.

Go to the evga forums and join, ask Jacob for help, if anyone can help you it will be him. or email him and add "classified problem could use your help " in the subject header. Jacob will reply. jfreeman@evga.com

Thanks Dr D, yes i have the assumption that is it also related to the card that i am using. My 4870x2 is Faulty and i am quite sure of it...I just cannot play any games, as soon as it starts the screen goes off.

I took an old 7800GTX and ran it on the Classified, No problems the game ran fine throughout. I will be selling off my 4870x2 after it returns from RMA and will buy a GTX295

initally i posted my query there and most of the forum member and myself think it was an overclock issue and driver conflict. But after testing the board with my 7800GTX and it ran fine i'm quite sure its a video card issue

Deton, like Bully said, his X2 had a problem it's not the Classified that's why he's sending the X2 back and getting a new one.
