    Hi James and welcome

Looks good so far, what did you use to stress test??

If you go to user cp (top left of page) and fill in your system specs (there is the option to make public that needs checking too) It will help us all cos we will know what you decided on when you built your rig

Hi thanks for checking out my post.I finally found the check box for system details.Well im useing prime with blend tests but still not stable i think my voltages are off still learning to mess with them,Im at 4.2 ghz With 1.247 volts mult on no blue screens while playing games or internet but wont get too far in prime! Oh by the way this rig is less than two months old just gave overclocking a break for a while but now im ready to get the full potential.

Welcome to PUREOC and OC world.
Your overclock never going to stable if you stay at 1.25v, you need somewhere around 1.3-1.35v for D0 chip.

Keep an eye on the temps when you increase the voltage.

Check out this thread, you may find some usefull info over there.

    Hey James welcome to PureOC!
Checkout Core i7 4Ghz Club & Overclocking Guide
I've the EVGA Classified 4.2ghz Template created there and if you can follow it closely you should be able to achieve 4ghz too if your temperature permits

Thank you guys i have completely read all the instructions. There is a lot of helpfull information here! Well i had to clear cmos and now back down to 2.8 this sucks i had to take a video card out to reset cmos was not very happy! Im so afraid of wrecking this thing as you guys know it cost too much to destroy. At the settings on my screenshots above it ran great for two months no blue screens at all temps were fine with everything i do with this thing the problem was when i ran prime to stableize my load temps were in the high 80s. Either this chip cant do it stable or its time to get some water.Right now stock speed case temp is 29c cpu 26c and Real temps are 42/40/42/40 Prime blend test 65/63/62/62 I think im gonna reseat the V-10 today. Any one shed the light for me!

Poeple tell me that the classified can be a tough nut to learn but to cut a long story short to get there you should perhaps consider taking smaller steps and at the same time, because you are on air, maybe lower your eventual target to 3.8 or 4.0 it should be doable keeping the temps in the 80's which is acceptable

If you use the templates in the overclocking thread for voltages but run at a slower speed ...keeping track of the temps....then try reducing the volts one at a time till the overclock fails then up 1 or 2 notches

The x58 owners here can be more specific
    Rig2: 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Asus z9 pe-d8 ws, 32gb ripjawsz under water, rig3 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Supermicro 7047A-T 16GB 1600 ecc reg, on air, Rig4: 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @3.1), Supermicro x9 DAi 16GB 1600 ecc reg, on air, Rig5: 2*e5-2660 (16c/32t @2.7), Supermicro x9 DRW iF 32GB 1600 ecc reg, on air
