using coretemp? unless your room is well under 19c ambient temp, you can't actually get your cpu to 19c (with air cooling).

I use the DualCore Center utility that comes with my MSI Motherboard. My cpu normally idles from 19-21C, depending on the ambient temperature. My Case has excellent airflow as I have a 250mm fan on the side of my case, as well as a fan in the front, top, and a couple rear fans. The Zalman 9700 and the Artic 5 Silver helps a lot as well.

    Cool E6850

    E6850 - 333 x 9 = 3.0 GHz @ 1.1V
Cooler - Zalman 9700NT with 2x120mm case fans.

    TAT:
    core 0 = 19c
    core 1 = 20c

    Core Temp:
    core 0 = 30c
    core 1 = 32c

I do not know why mine are so much lowwer then most. I have a SliveStone TJ09 case and it has lots of room and well vented

Because you still run at stock voltage. The TAT's report doesn't seem right. The Core temp look more like it.

The room temp is around 73 F. I just check it again and it is reading CPU0 at 20C and CPU1 at 21C more are less. Tried to send a picture but don't know if I did it right

I think your temp is about right accroding to your FSB/Voltage.
This is how I'm conduct the temp test, you can use 1 of the following programs to do the test. Prime95, Ortrhos, OCCT or CPU Burn-in. Before you do this test make sure your OC is stabled first.

Use the stress test program run the CPU at 100% load for a about 1 hour. Take the Core Temp reading after an hour. Stop the program and let the computer idling for at least 1/2 hour and take the Idle reading.

I put my system together last January, at that time I got an EVGA 680i AR motherboard. I just received my new RMA EVGA 680i A1 motherboard and I will be switching out motherboards tomorrow. I wanted to over clock the E6850 once I get the new A1 board in. Do you have or know where I can get a good step by step over clocking guide that I could use for the Intel E6850 on an EVGA 680i MB? I also have 2GB of Corsair Dominator 8500C5D, but I guess you can see all the info on the form.

    Thanks Lucky

    Lucky,

First you should read this thread http://forums.pureoverclock.com/showthread.php?t=1015 to see if you understand the how to do yourself before you using someone else template. Because the OC results always different based on the hardware was put together. It is hard to find an OC template that have the exact parts as your. When you understand the principal then you can use someone else template to make the adjustment that is suite with your hardware.

Here is a step by step guide for the 680i board with Core 2 Duo http://pc.ign.com/articles/747/747606p2.html as I said the guide don't use the exact same hardware as your. This is just a guide line template but I think it will ease your OC, especially for newb.

    Good Luck!

    ASUS Probe: 25.C

CPU COOLER: Gigabyte G-Power Lite (i got this for $20bux what you guys think about it?)

ok let me tell you guys something when i built this pc i used Thermal MX-2 (forgot the exact spelling i left it at cousins house) i didn't put a line across the core on a site i found here...i actually spreaded it with my finger...you think that was a good idea? and if anyone has any recommendations on how i could keep this cpu a bit cooler (with my current setup) please tell me.
Thank you! (oh yeah are these temps ok?)

I don't really know for sure if it matters how you put it on. But, next time I would put it on the way they tell you on the web site. I think you temps are a little high, but if you case does not have good air flow that maybe adding to the temp. My case is the SilverStone TJ 09 and it has great air flow. I have a E6850 with a Zalman 9700 NT and it is running 3.0 and at idle it is 32c to 34c, under a load it runs around 40c to 42c. The room temp is 70F. I would also check you heat sink and heat sink fan to make sure it is clean. Some time they build up dust and that will really add the the heat.

Mark down what you temps are before you over clock you E6750. That way you can have something to compare it to. Try to ask some body else in the form as well, they may have a different opinion on those temps.

    Good Luck
