    Do your homework.

New firmware for the full range of OCZ SF-2281 based SSDs (2.13) has just been released and fixes the rare cornering issue that caused the drive to give a BSOD when an unsafe power shut down occurred.

This issue is most certainly caused by P67/Z68/H67, and they simply worked around the issue by disabling SF-2281 slumber and partual power states. In fact the same fix that Intel used on the 510 SSD, and Crucial done the same with C300 and M4.

    TIP.
Intel will launch the 520 series of SSDs in a couple of weeks. It looks like it will almost certainly use the SF2281. Anyone want to bet that P67/Z68/H67 gets a fix at around the time of the 520 launch.

read the comments about fw 2.13 in the link THE ISSUE ISN'T FIXED.....do YOUR home work...and look a little further like on patriot forums and you will see that with their equivalent firmware 3.3 the issue is still unresolved. so what are you even saying? My "homework" is always done and it looks like your "homework" gets a zero. The link I gave is full of complaints about the firmware your "homework" say fixes the issue. The issue is raging all across the ocz forums using the firmware you say resolves the issue. I guess i am just pissed that you tell me to do my homework when you haven't done yours http://www.patriotmemory.com/forums/...3.0-experience see post 9. LOOK Here is an amd board using 2.13 with the SAME problem http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...oses-the-drive last time i checked amd does not use P67/Z68/H67 chipsets. so do you still wanna bet its an intel problem and it will be resolved by intel updating chipset drivers? bsod problem p35 chipset http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...Stop-0x000007A more amd boards and x58 boards with same problem http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...JOKE-Seriously. I could put up literally HUNDREDS of links to posts using the firmware YOUR homework tells you has fixed the issue showing it has not and for the other part of YOUR homework that tells you its an intel chipset problem what do you have to say about the fact that AMD has the SAME problem? looks like your homework is based entirely off the 2.13 changelog not reality

I've bought four OCZ SSD's so far (two SATA-II and two SATA-III) and had no problems with any of them. They all have a good warranty, so if they break , I'll RMA them.

a quote today about fw 3.3 which is the same as ocz 2.13 from patriot vl administrator of patriot forums:
Thank you on your tip but I have come to realize that the IRST drivers should not be a factor in troubleshooting the drives. I believe the issue with the drives is something else but we are confirming and I will update everyone when it is confirmed.
he is speaking about the continuing problems with 3.3 and telling us its not irst drivers like some have said.

I can see how hard facts interfere with your reading a firmware change log. I have a drive with the problem and the firmware has not fixed it. But don't let that get in the way of your supreme knowledge. My sources are real. What exactly are your sources? You have given no sources. I have given my sources they just happen to be customers that own sf 2281 drives as well as those employed by OCZ and PATRIOT. Your source is yourself and its completely uninformed. If you:
I cant stand people that cant admit they are wrong. LOL.
then you must not be able to stand yourself.

IRST works as anticipated and without problems on my ASRock Mainboard with an OCZ Solid SSD accelerating a Western Digital SATA-III 1TB Black.
    I like how it works.

Patriot_VL has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - FW 3.3.0 experience - in the SSD Support forum of Patriot Memory Support Forums.

    This thread is located at:

Here is the message that has just been posted:

    as well

you can LOL as much as you like, I am glad you find the whole situation amusing. Let me make you once again happy; I know for sure the problem is not Intel related since I have bsod and disk disappearing from bios while I have nvidia chipset. All bsod etc disappear if I remove agility3 and use postville. If you don't find that enough amusing, wait there is more. There are many others, in case you didn't noticed, that cant use agility while the have amd chipsets. Guess what we all do have in common. Great, you found it. Now LOL again.

guess he is wrong and uninformed too huh? maybe if he talked with your sources he would realize that he is wrong and you are right

Yes, I mentioned this in my post. I upgraded to 2.13 today and now I am getting BSOD instead of lockups. Originally I had 2.09 and had BSODs and drive disappearing from BIOS. Upgraded to 2.11 and had lockups instead. Upgraded to 2.13 today and am back to BSOD with drive disappearing from BIOS.
from ocz forums by another AMD user....i know he is wrong too because you said so
