Thanks. I'm going with the Plextor Jon suggested: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820249014. It's on sale today for $160 down from $190. Can't buy until the 20th so I hope it's still on sale then.

That looks like a good drive.
When they first started selling SSD's, they were a lot higher in price than anyone else.
It seems as if they've rethought that strategy for now.
They're fairly new in the SSD market, but their DVD burners are quite nice. I recently bought two of them.
They're expensive Burners, but sometimes you have to consider that ~you get what you pay for~ and just do it.
    I'm glad that I did.

I think that if you follow Jon's guide, http://forums.pureoverclock.com/show...SD-Performance and don't skip any steps, you'll get a lot of wicked-fast performance too.

I'm pretty excited about the anticipated performance boost. Before I even put the drive in my case, I plan on talking with Jon about exactly what I should do.

Here are the AS SSD scores for my Plextor M3 128GB. I think they are ok compared to what Jon got on the Plextor M3 256GB posted above, but I'm not sure. Coming from a HDD, this drive seems super fast to me.

The performance difference is insane, my computer boots in under ten seconds.

Thats a great score and in the top five fastest SATA III drives there are in existence regardless of capacity. here is my score with that drive and here is what it scores with Vantage beating even the 256gb version in that test its the best performing drive for the money PERIOD

if they are 120gb drives you will score in the 400's if they are 240gb drives high 500's maybe hit 600

I've had mine for over three months now and although installed haven't set it up as my OS boot drive.
Reason for not posting benching info yet.
Although have upgraded firmware for it twice now as to releases.
    Activated, But nothing on it.

Getting ready to tear every thing apart when get my new card,(Waiting for Kepler to compare)
Clean out cooling system and reload OS.
Be nice to be able to run the Sata 3 Marvel side of it tho, But will with IVY.

    Ya,
    Get that 240 in there.
