Default SSD caching or just 2 SSD in RAID0

Can anybody explain met his, all new mobos have 2 SATA ports for SSD caching... I was planning to go old fashion way, 2 SSD in RAID0 ( Crucial m4 64Gb) for OS and one ordinary HDD for storage, what you recommend me guys, any better opinions this days ?

Good combo as to Raid 0.
Would have the added speed and also 120gig for OS and quite a few other things.

Just have a backup in place incase you lose one. Lose one lose all

2 Years using now Intel 80Gb SSD in RAID0 - No problems at all.. back up, yes, I have now, but in general, I rewriting OS every year...

All tests is done when is SSD is 45% full.
