    Default new HDD issues

ok i have a partitioned 320gb SATA master drive with vista on it. i bought another 320gb drive and pluged it in, exact same drive as the first one. i tried putting the new drive as a slave and a seperate master but it wont show up in my computer. i auto detected it and when i booted up windows said it recognised the new drive but it wont show up in my computer. any help or suggestions would be greatly apriciated.

heres a few shot in the dark:

1)under device manager make sure it shows up and is active
    2)add new hardware
3)admit defeat, RMA, and get a new drive
    What?

uhm.. right click on my computer, select "manage" ( not sure if this exists in vista ) and then click on "disk management". your new drive is probably just not partitioned/formatted so windows doesn't show it.
if you cannot find "disk management", use some 3rd party utilities like acronis products or smth ( i won't tell you were to find it )
