    Is sandisk a good company?
I saw their "extreme" ssd has far better read/write speeds. So I'll probably grab their 120GB extreme for about $115.
When I say these numbers I don't know much, as I dropped out of the computer scene in High School. But the extreme one has 550mb read. 510mb write.
    Seems like that's insainly fast.

Sandisk is a very good company. The drive you are looking at is a stand alone drive that you would install your OS and programs on. The 32GB cache drive is not a stand alone drive. It works in conjunction with an existing hard drive with the OS and apps already on it. The included software monitors your computing behavior and caches (or temporarily stores) the data you access most often on the small SSD for quicker response times. It's a cheap and easy alternative to a true SSD system.

Although this looks to be good, Its great for those not wanting to change to a SSD if they need large amounts of space on the primary HD, However with the price SSD's dropping its better to invest into a large SSD drive and skip this cache drive. IMO, a SSD as primary HD will give you much better performance. at $49.00 for 32GB, I would rather spend $70 for a 120GB SSD and move some of my program files that are not resource hogs onto a platter drive. Thats what I am doing in most my rigs now..

I totally agree, but this drive is good for those that are easily confused by having data stored across multiple drives. My wife and kids are an example. LOL. I'm considering this drive for the rig they use most often or maybe for my HTPC rig.

I couldnt agree more Kenny, this cache drive is just a temporary thing because the prices on SSDs are falling and this is just a quick lite upgrade if anything at all.
