OMG 2 TB got to see the review on this! This has to have a hefty price tag on it and should have a lifetime warranty for that reason alone!

The simple rule of enthusiasts building computers applies....

It is out of date very soon after you build it and you always want something better !!

It was a q6600 rig that I built, not that long ago, OC'd, fast ram, 500GB HDD, and I was so pleased. I seem to recall aiming to spend 500.... oh well!

Time goes on and now each of the parts for a rig can cost that much or more and I still don't want to draw a line in the sand.

It is just the way of the computer world..... Good thing that some stuff is cheaper (printers, screens) but even there, if you want the best.....

your 1TB SSD is way bigger than anything I have..... Just enjoy it..... by the time it is full you can get more and for cheaper
    Rig2: 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Asus z9 pe-d8 ws, 32gb ripjawsz under water, rig3 2*e5-26xx (16c/32t @2.4), Supermicro 7047A-T 16GB 1600 ecc reg, on air

Yes, but it may have the effect of driving down prices on smaller SSDs. (I think that it will as a matter of fact)
I like the progression to larger sizes. I like it a lot.

Also: I have two ADATA SSD's right now. (120GB and 240G) They're fast and reliable too. A good brand as I see it,.......

I keep throwing my money at the screen, but none of these SSD's is coming through... do I need to throw more or something?

Try to flip screen face down, and shake it, maybe something will drop out...

Always been like that, and always will be too.

I can remember spending $380.00 on a 300MB HDD years ago. If I think about all of the money I spent on computer gear over the years, I shudder.
Still, I save up for the newest, greatest bling and I'm happy doing it too.
