Default Looking to Buy an SSD

I will be getting my tax return soon (YAY!) and would like to know if anybody has any SSD's they got for review they would be willing to part with, i don't have a set budget yet bet hopefully no more than $250 + shipping. I would like a nice balance between Speed and Storage, but i can skimp on one or the other. I figured somebody has got to hae one lying around and it would be a waste for me to buy a brand new one if nobody's using one of theirs.

In that price range (250+shipping), Amazon has two very good offers:
    Samsung 840 Evo 500GB
    Crucial M500 480GB

Yeah, and 500GB, price tag is also good + free shipping.
I have two Plextor PX256M3 models laying around (after I bought Crucial M500 960G, but selling and shipping to US will be expensive (I live in Peru).

I'd definitely get the M500 over the EVO - the M500 uses MLC (2 bit per NAND cell) whereas the EVO uses TLC (3 bit per cell)... it might not ever affect you, but in the long run it's most likely a better choice (100TB+ data written).

For speed/reliability/endurance and 5 years warranty, I'd get the 840 PRO, though you'd get only half the size compared to the two above. It's on sale for $199.99 at the moment on Amazon.
