Thread: hard drive+ alot of information=BSOD

    Default hard drive+ alot of information=BSOD

    when loading with my sata drive i cant get into windows without getting the bsod. i dont even get past the windows loading page.

    but with my ide drive, it will load windows, whats wrong? and if i try to reinstall windows and if i make a seprate particion, will it still format the whole drive?

    Yes it does Just don't format u lost all your data.. try first boot it in safemode if possible, or use recovery consol (on windoze cd).
    can u see whats causes bsod (stop blah blah somethin lotsa numbers)

    yea i tryied get that screen that like. safe mode, load last working setting..... well the keyboard wont go up and down so im stuck with loading normaly.

    the bsod goes so quick it took me like 5 mintues to relize what happend

    hmm boot up with windoze cd and choose r recovery consol http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/win_xp_rec.htm then run chkdsk

    yea i had a wireless, so i had to find a wired.
    and i dont know how i did it, but i had got into safe mode some how and backed up what i needed then i cleaned the drive, so it all good now

    2)how to install windows XP...while in windows XP
    3)never install ANYTHING on friday the 13th
