Due to space limitations and the desire to cut down on noise I will most likely air cool it. I have found no evidence of gaming benifits so far overclocking this 670...I run it slightly oc'd now at 3.8GHz

Here is the monstrocity as it sits now lol... (Boreas cooling for the cpu)

Well that should cool it LOL, space in the chassis is limited to 180mm I think, are going to get a big enough cooler in there to work with an OC?

My apologies, I didn't realize there were two types of slim line drives. My Panasonic doesn't use the tiny power connector, whereas the Samsung slot-in that I ordered a couple of weeks ago, does, and I just haven't noticed. Guess I'll need one of these smaller connectors myself.

Looks like your thread has saved me a future headache.

I havent used an air cooler in a long time but I would think even the stock hsf would do fine in this case. The stock freq for the 670 is already 3.47GHz.

Yeah, I usually don't read the reviews on the Egg, but it caught my eye because I have never used a slim dvd drive before. Like you, it saved me from a construction hold-up as well.
