Well i read all the way through your OP and realized what my problem has been, I'm running vista 64. And I didnt use a modded version of the drivers. I have been using an older driver ( I'm not sure which one, as I am at work)

Hopefully it will actually start cranking out some good numbers when I get that fixed :]

    Nice going guys!

I understand why reQuiem's rig kicks so much ***, but I seem to be falling more and more behind the other leaders since last week. Our Gfx cards aren't that much different, how are you motoring ahead of me so quickly? Using the CPU client as well? OC'd Gfx card?

Can you help me tune up my performance?

I am running the 177.35 driver, (I didn't realize just updating from the older version I was using would have been sufficient, oh well), and have not OC'd my Gfx for folding - yet

Quite happy with the way things are going for me....one bug to sort out with fahmon still and one that I can put up with regards affinity and smp.

    My 9800gtx is clocked @ 780core, 1150mem, 2000shaders. It is running at around 65deg
    using 177.35 I am seeing 6086ppd (last 3 frames). on a 5004 maybe 100 less on a 5005

Yesterday I upped my overclock on q6600 to 3.5gig because I have been trying to get the SMP that I installed to complete in 24 hours due to the fact that each time it reloads a new unit I need to reset the affinity for it to run on 3 cores (trying to read up on an automatic way) If I don't do this I get maybe 200 points more on SMP but loose over 1500ppd on GPU. Now Fahmon shows around 2000ppd for SMP

Cores on the CPU are at 47deg All temps 18 deg ambient (crap weather at the moment) but there is headroom still if summer does come this year. I'm running XP pro sp2c (with no updates)

Because This setup runs in the workshop I'm running caseless with an antec 2200rpm HSF on a xigmatec 1280 with one of the DELTA 150cfm fans angled at 45 deg at the Heatsink and across the ram and at the NB and back of the 9800gtx.

One small moan...The nice plastic Graphic that EVGA stick to the side of their cards is starting to come unstuck near the fan intake of all places.

Have a look at post 93 (sometimes hard to get on i've got it on file so can probably pm) to get an Idea of how yours should perform. Mine is overclocked using the prog downloaded from EVGA not any heavy duty way just easy use. The extra points for me probably come from SMP running too

Not sure if it has, I only figured how how to get fahmon to work yesterday (it was easier than I though:$, I should have tried a little harder the first time).

It says I'm getting about 5k ppd. I leave FAH (GPU2) on 24/7 since I havn't had time for games lately - other than a few quick runs through Liberty City w/ guns blazing to blow off some steamDie coppers, die! And some you mafia types too, stay outa my hood!!

This week maybe.....but long term ...well I've clocked about as high as I can without spending days trying to sort this damned motherboard out. and even this has taken me an hour and a half "offline"

If anyone tries to run smp too or a better still a second card then the picture will change fast

EDIT: WE seem to be going through a PURPLE patch boys

The time has come for us all to update as we are behind on core and client (remember we're Beta testing too)

    6.12 beta 11 Systray
    6.12 beta 11 Console (Vista)
6.12 beta 11 Console (XP and below)

are available now at http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4007 with a baby guide/how to.

    perhaps something for the weekend.

Some people are testing another core too. If you want this post here and I'll find it.
