Default Hello, Good Evening and Welcome

    Hi,

I'm new to the world of Overclocking, and also Water Cooling, but have inherited a machine (as detailed in my profile) from a friend.

1st thing I've got to do is to give the WC system a good clean (so I know I'm starting fresh), then investigate memory. It's currently got 4GB in it (can't remember spec), but 2 of the DIMM's are goosed, so need to be replace that. Not sure on the MoBo limit yet, but have the EVGA PDF to digest already

I've also printed out the Coolant Maintenance & Water Cooled for Beginners sticky's which will be some more bedtime reading

I've a feeling the other-half is going to start to hate me soon...

    Cheers

    A-Dmm

in the system specs part of the user CP, make sure the drop down box says "yes" to show your specs in your profile.

as for memory you use DDR2 800/1200 MHz

First, welcome to PureOC. Plenty of WaCo people around here.

Second, where can I get friends like yours? Seriously, you inherited a real gem of a machine there.

    Welcome to PureOC!

Don't worry, nobody started out as an expert. Part of the fun is learning. Just ask questions, take your time, you'll get there.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for the replies all.

Yeah, he's a good mate, wasn't totally free though, had to do a load of work on his Car Audio for him. He's great with PC's, but a little rubbish with all things automotive

More of a reciprocal favour I guess.

I'll be doing a load of reading over the next few weeks, and then hopefully only asking valid questions.
I'm a member on a few other forums, so have already started to abuse the search button...
I suffer from C.D.O. It's like O.C.D. but all the letters are in the correct order, just as the alphabet says they should.
