LOL well it won't be quite a "review" in the sense that you all are familiar with it... but without spoiling the surprise, the build for this chip WILL be going up on the main page. Details to come as I get everything sorted out!

Got rid of the clunky, ugly, massive, ugly, inefficient Cooler Master Storm Trooper case an replaced it with a new Corsair Vengeance C70. I love this new case!!

I tried posting a pic, but it is no working.

The Storm Trooper is far from ugly. So you go from a nice full tower to an ugly midower? Ain't that taking a step backwards?
You don't know me and that's the way i like it!

LOL -it would be a step backward for someone who simply thinks bigger I better over looks and performance. My new mid tower is very very capable of doing everything the Trooper can, only without all the excess Junk and clunk plus far better looking / less of an eyesore that dominates everything else visually in any given room. Not to mention the damn ST weight like 40lbs. That's a full size bag of dog food!

The new case is sleek, the military green is pretty and it is more complimentary of a living space.

Just my opinion, I clearly offended you which is strange since I owned a ST myself and have a valid opinion. "A step back"? That doesn't even make sense. Ask anyone here if mid towers are inferior to your single ST option. I always wanted to try a full tower which is why I bought the thing. I just couldn't stand the looks much longer, not to mention the inefficiency of cooling it with fans.

I don't think you offended him. He offered his opinion of then ST and your new case. The argument about which case is better is a waste of time. Not everyone will agree with either stand point. I have huge cases, mid cases and small cases. They all serve the purpose I needed them for at the time. Personally I don't like small cases. However I recently did a review on the Prodigy m. Love that case. Doesn't change my mind about all small cases. For me I want to jam as much gear as possible into a case.

A mid tower is inferior in certain uses. The cooling options for a full size tower is obviously better then a mid tower. As a mini itx case would be inferior to a mid. Most mids don't allow for 360mm rads. If they do its only one. Can't fit a 420 or a 480mm rads. Thicker rads present issues in most mid cases. Res selection is also limited in the same fashion. Try to cram a full size photon d5 into a mid! Lol GPU length and how many you can put in a mid is a limit.

So after all if said and done it comes down to looks. That is where we always bump heads with others.

That case works for you. Great. Will it work for Tee? Nope. Why because tee likes more flare and to be able to put huge rads and overclock a bit more. You have your style and he has is. Doesn't mean he was dogging your case or your build.

    Everyone relax.

    It's subjective.

The Corsair Vengeance C70 is a fine looking case, (the Carbide Air 540 is better) and the Storm Trooper is too. It all depends on personal opinion, and what you need out of a case. My Fractal Design Arc-Midi is a great example of a fully functional Mid-Tower with a lot of options built into it.

I also have a Blackhawk Full tower and a Blackhawk Ultra. One is large, and the other is "Holy-Crap-That's Huge".
You can go nuts with them and build practically anything into them,......knowing damn well it's gonna fit. Cooling/airflow is friggin' outstanding too.

Talking about Holy-Crap-That's Huge check out Kennys Caselabs TH10! And Case labs makes one twice that size! Btw Kenny is trying to talk me into getting the TH10! I want to but just because but honestly it will cost me an ass load of money to do a build in it. Cant let all of the rad placements go empty! lol

I would love to have the new Caselabs case.I was going to get it. But after tax and all it was around $600.00. I need to get a new card so that is were my money is going.

Yep Yep, sorry NY dude, you seem peeved that I think the ST is one ugly mother lover. Makes sense if you have time invested into the thing, as I did.
I've done 5 or so builds to date and always wanted to try a full tower. My newest build seemed to want one. Don't know why I wasted my money on the ST though. And the LED's on the front fan controller went out after a week.
I thought it looked good when I first bought it, but no matter what I did it ran my system warmer than a mid tower and just overall the clunky thing just felt like a waste of space and an eyesore. A few people that came over and saw it basically said he same thing. It just did not work for my clean bid and did not ventilate well. My other issue was all the time I had making it look nice inside only to have a solid panel on both sides.

My New C70 cools better, looks a lot nicer to me / less wasted space. It also fits (2) 240 rads or a (2) 360 with full water cooling once I get that project moving.
The ST DOES have an SSD Hot Swap on the front though.

Either way, I'm a lot happier now. The build feels so much better -to me-
