And put it back together and it works!!!
Just had to share my accomplishment. Lost a few(3) screws, but my brother's laptop is now free of dust, and the fan no longer rattles from a loose screw falling out. A screw which happened to be what was causing his LCD screen to not rotate up and down smoothly.
Got to love a job well done.

I did it right here at my desk, but kept all the screws in a container. I'm thinking that most of them were already lost before I got a hold of it. I mean, one of the screws was stuck in the fan, and making a ton of noise. So if one fell in there, I'm sure there are other that worked them selves loose.
He doesn't care that they are missing, as long as it holds together.

So he shipped it to you from Florida ? You should add a little Loctite to the threads so the screws never come loose again until they need to be removed.

I just finished removing a ton of dog hair from both fans on a Toshiba Satellite A75-206. Had to take it all the way down to get to the fans. Just like an erector set...
