I would have to agree with you. I am in a different situation since I retired from the military, but even so the state of CT and the country as a whole have soo many programs available to help out our deserving Vets, that I think most of it must be attributed to the individual. The VA has come a long way to making sure that people are aware of their programs, and as part of my 'mandatory' transition to civilian life the state had a representative come talk to us about state programs. We even have dedicated 'employment assistance' reps that are mandated to stop helping other customers if a veteran needs assistance. Vets get head of the line in CT, but they have to be willing to get in line first.

    Just my 2cents

I think for quite a few vets it may be attributable to PTSD, but sooo many are unemployed while only being reserves, so it does raise some questions.

Free market capitalism, untainted by the cronyism and corrupt government influence trading we have, is the only cure for poverty that has ever worked in all of human history.

Socialism doesn't work because it is not possible for a socialist system to create and grow wealth from within, there always comes a point where you run out of other peoples money to spend.

While the Republican party, as a political party, is deeply flawed, it is a far better option than the modern Democrat party, or should I say Marxocrat party.

Both parties are corrupt, and need to be torn apart.
Term limits for congress, and getting the big money out of politics would be a good start, but it won't happen because congress is where the legislation for it would have to come from...
Funny, where was our deficit under Clinton. I will clue you in $0. Busch tax breaks, 2 wars, dead economy(due to you know who) $15 trillion dollar defecit. The parties do not need to be torn apart. Prehistoric conservative republican just gotta go. 8 years proved they do not have a fukkin clue.

    Deficit under Clinton

Hard to push thru (His) version of Obama economics when you have a mainly Republican congress.
Carl Rowe led him by the the hand and said(No No) if you want to get re elected.

I'll save the rest for another day.

Low deficits under Clinton had little to nothing to do with any of his administrations policies. It was the result of smoke and mirrors accounting, the "end" of the cold war, and things like the DotCom boom. The DotCom bubble burst in 1998, causing much of the country to enter a recession before Bush even took office.
The key policy changes, and legislation that lead to the inflation and bursting of the housing bubble came about during the Clinton administration.
The later financial regulatory changes that made it really heat up were a completely bipartisan affair, but the grossly incompetent mismanagement and corruption in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was almost entirely democrats.

Bush was NOT a conservative, just another corrupt crony capitalist NeoCon that was/is a member of the same globalist policy organizations that most of the big shots in both parties are members of, along with his father.

is the key word. The free market is much different as past decades and the free trade agreement was not around prior to the 90's. The dymamics have change by a wide margin. This is why I feel we need more regulation.

AND some Jail Time, and, (Barney) would be a real good starting point, and not all Democrats.

Although leans pretty heavily in that direction as to thier agenda.

Just my opinion, And sticking to it

We already to many regulations that are not enforced, not enforceable, don't make sense, or are counterproductive!

Part of any regulatory overhaul must include severing the link between corporations, banks/financial markets, other big money interests, and politicians.
Also, toss "white collar" criminals in the same prisons with the robbers, rapists and murderers, and give them real sentences. No more "Club Fed" weeknight/weekend prison.

If you are actually serious you are dumber than a rock. Let me put this to you. DEMOCRATS are against having to show ID when you vote. Your jackass president and ag ball holder are suing to stop states from enforcing immigration laws and to stop states from requiring id to vote. So why is that? Democrats want voter fraud and illegals to vote. This is what you support? just answer the question

Greed is exactly what is in a democrats heart. They are all greedy to get the money of people who have EARNED IT and pass it out to losers through entitlement programs so those losers will vote democrat. What do you think the bailouts did? they saved UNION jobs so in turn the UNION dues would continue to fund democrat elections

Agreed, the republican party establishment would never cut themselves off like that, but if you believe democrats ever would, you are fooling yourself.

In case you hadn't noticed, both parties are equally as bought and paid for by big corporate and big money interests.

The big government nanny state "solutions", and Keynesian economic policies of the current democrat party establishment are particularly devastating though.
