the daily amount of debt obama is adding to our economy is 4.25 billion dollars a day or 1.65 trillion dollars per year. prior to obama the highest yearly deficit was 4 times smaller 500 billion dollars. so anyone with a brain can easily see this chart that the liberal nut posted is very misleading. nearly 50 cents of every dollar spent by the government is borrowed. this is why standard and poor lowered the credit rating of the united states for the first time in history. so not only are we paying the interest on a 15 trillion dollar debt which is billions of dollars a day just on the interest we now have to pay a higher rate because the credit of the united states has been downgraded because of obamas spending

I think that Federal intervention into a State's efforts to curb illegal activities (think about our Nation's ~supposed~ sovereignty) is wrong.
Many times when there is a problem and a State asks Uncle Sugar for help, they're told that it should be taken care of by the State.

Arizona is trying to do ~something~ since the Federal Government is failing miserably to control our borders, and the feds are throwing up obstacles all over the place.
They've now gone so far as to ~try to stop~ Arizona in Federal Court.
The Fed is conveniently ignoring the fact that they have broken faith with the people of America by not ensuring our sovereignty. This is an EPIC FAIL.

Jan Brewer didn't like it when she met with POTUS and he lectured her the whole time about how Arizona is wrong to take the matter out of Federal hands,......so she wrote about all of this in her book.
When the Picture was taken, he was giving her crap about her writing about him.
As anyone can see, she was having none of his Bullsh*t.

I saw that and I immediately thought,....."You Go Girl!"
yeah, I agree with Neil and Irocing, although a large chunk of the AZ law is blatantly unconstitutional. But that's why we have courts.

The fact that Jim refers to Homeland Security, even jokingly, as the SS is very troubling and unfortunately not far from the truth. Last I checked, the 1st Amendment guarantees Gov. Brewer the right to write about her conversations with the pres. it's not his place to lecture her for exercising that right. Shows his total and complete disrespect for individual rights. No big surprise there. Just look at his stupid health care law. Total infringement on individual rights.

He should be looked at as an example.
This is totally untrue and your opinion is based on extreme misinformation. No jail in this country has or has ever had a "country club atmosphere." There were a few federal prisons reversed for judges and corporate crooks like that, but they are all changed now. Arpaio's practices are in humane and actually do not save any money. Just creates violence and unrest that results in additional cost, not to mention litigation. He has relied successfully on the voting public's lust for vengeance to stay in office, but that doesn't mean what he has done or is doing is right. His policies are totally inconsistent with the Constitution or any kind of moral way of dealing with prisoners. And don't even get me started on his racial profiling and illegal searches/arrests. And then there is is arrest and attempted prosecution of the newspaper editors who wrote stories unfavorable to him. Sure, he's a great guy. Just as corrupt and self-seeking as Obama.

Before you all jump on me about this, ask yourself if you would want your sons or daughters confined in Arpaio's jail if they were arrested for some offense. Keep in mind, these people are mostly pretrial detainees who are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Or do constitutional rights and individual freedoms only matter when we are taking about taxes and corporate greed? They matter to me all of the time in every circumstance, and they should to every American too. Our criminal justice system is one of the most extreme example of how the state and federal governments abuse its authority and citizenry. They get away with it because the general public has the attitude that "those poeple" don't deserve rights. But the opposite is true - constitutional rights are most important when you are completely at the mercy of the government who is or has taken your freedom.

Tsk.. Tsak... Misinformed, that is not all Obama. We are still fighting a war Jon. 75% of the debt was left to him and republicans think cuts will pay the debt. I got new for you. Cuts will not pay down the debt and The Romney's of the world pay 13,9% while I pay 30%. Busch's tax cuts, the wars and the housing/economic/auto crysis put us in the **** bin. How many times we gonna talk about this. The republicans WILL not compromise so keep voting republican and the mess will never end.

All we need is 3T of cuts and 1T of tax revenue job done. I will leave that alone cause the house will never vote for it. BTW, The 1T can be easily raised by people over 250,000. Nough said. 10 years we would be free of debt. By some outside chance a republican got in, we will be at war in the middle east again... and they would cut more taxes. We will be bankrupt.

So the war costs that continued were Obama's fault. The lack of tax revenue with the Busch tax cuts were Obama's fault. The money spent to fix Busch's f$%k ups were Obamas fault.

You need to be schooled son.

OMG, Thats Iraq Jon. What about Afganistan, the effort we put in Pakistan. What about the $ we put in other parts of the world cause all the Muslims and Arabs hate us nevermind Homeland security..... These are seperate totals. Jon cmon get real. Most of the 5T was spent on Busch's epic loser mistakes. In order for me to belive you, you need to do some real bookeeping and pull the budget from the US for the last 10 years and you will see truth's. Jon, get real my friend. These totals easily hit 2,3 maybe 4 trillion...... With the money spent under Obama admin, a lot of that would have been spent anyhow and what was the defecit under Busch?

    http://www.americanprogress.org/issu...t_numbers.html

The real story is, however, fairly obvious. The policies of the Bush administration, which included tax cuts during a time of war and a floundering economy, are clearly the primary source of the current deficits. The Obama administration policies that are beginning to give the economy a needed jumpstart—the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in particular—place a distant third in contributing to the 2009 and 2010 deficit numbers. The deficit picture for the years beyond still needs to be painted.

Before explaining these further, it should be said that the generally worse deficit numbers reported today aren’t all that surprising. Since the last projections in May, it’s been plain that this recession has been worse than most analysts thought. With a weak economy comes lower tax revenue and higher safety net expenditures—with the loss in tax revenue causing the lion’s share of the deficit problem. The effects of a deeper recession have a long-lasting impact. Even as growth is restored, it is growth from a reduced starting point—a smaller economy in 2009 usually means a smaller economy than previously predicted for several years hence.
When President Bush came into office, he inherited a surplus of $284 Billion. At that time, the Bush administration predicted a $516 billion surplus for 2006.
Click on this link and the biggest lie and joke.. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The economic policy of the George W. Bush administration was a combination of tax cuts, expenditures for fighting two wars, and a free-market ideology intended to de-emphasize the role of government in the private sector. He advocated the ownership society, premised on the concepts of individual accountability, less government, and the owning of property.
During his first term (2001–2005), he sought and obtained Congressional approval for tax cuts: the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001, the Job Creation and Worker Assistance Act of 2002 and the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003. These acts decreased all tax rates, reduced the capital gains tax, increased the child tax credit and eliminated the so-called "marriage penalty", and were set to expire in 2011.
The last two years of his presidency were characterized by the worsening subprime mortgage crisis, which resulted in dramatic government intervention to bailout damaged financial institutions and a weakening economy.
The U.S. national debt grew significantly from 2001 to 2008, both in dollars terms and relative to the size of the economy (GDP),[1] due to a combination of tax cuts and wars in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Budgeted spending under President Bush averaged 19.9% of GDP, similar to his predecessor President Bill Clinton, although tax receipts were lower at 17.9% versus 19.1%.[2]

If you want to set the bar high enough, and ignore the political difficulties involved in reducing the deficit, you can make Obama's fiscal record look bad. That approach, which is the approach of most fiscal scolds, is uncharitable but at least coherent. To castigate Obama's fiscal responsibility while defending Bush's, on the other hand, is intellectually incoherent propaganda.

If you right wing republicans got your head out of your asses and looked at the raw numbers, you would all think different. Guess right wing republicans who caused this mess would cut something like unemployment benefits to cure ailments which were raised to help your families and neighbors. Ya got me started Jon, you will not win this one cause the facts and numbers do not lie.

Get a Democrat house and our problems will finally get solved.
