It was the most reliable front wheel drive, high performance motor ever introduced by FORD at that time. People couldn't say enough good about it. My cousin thought that it was the best idea Ford had ever come up with.
It was really fast and didn't break down like a lot of other front wheel drive Fords did back then.

I don't pay for gas I get it free I work for oil and gas company as a fracturing engineer. Gas here is $3.90 a gallon but it still would not matter being safe in a full size trk has no price to me.
I got my wife a 2010 ford edge awd gets 18 mpg and my company trk 2011 fx4 f250 gets about 11 with the new v8 motor. I just prefer big rides since so many people prefer to go so fast
they get killed when they hit me and I can limp away and take there girl and new computer they just built. rofl

So what you're saying is that you're driving a Meat-Hammer Locomotive?

I feel pretty good in my 4X4 too. It's suspension is very nice and it handles exceptionally well for a truck.

Driven through WV in a snowstorm a few years ago and it usually gets worse over there than it does here in Virginia. The Tacoma's rear end already had posi-traction built into it, but the front didn't, so I put an Aussie-Crawler in there. Now it's got true ~four-wheel~ drive that works without any binding on the corners. It's very civilized and real quiet too.

    Posi's nice and smooth.

Run it in the back and air locker in the front of our Exploder.
Also nice having onboard air if you need it.

Sure beats getting out with the shovels from time to time.
Not much any good if you don't run the right tires though.

Yes, onboard air is always nice to have. Aussie-Crawler is on as soon as the axel starts to turn with power. (no power, it's free-wheeling) So just flip the switch into 4X4 and it's working. Better than the stock unit by a mile.
I know what you mean about tires. I buy good ones with a lot of tread and ice traction.

This is mine (well like mine) 2002 ford mondeo 2ltr 130hp turbodiesel. A little over 200,000 mls on the clock and does around 42.5 mpg (imperial) on a run if I keep speeds below around 80-90. I think thats around 35mpg US.

Not so sure about your neighbour's car Vinny, from what I saw they seem to have a mind of their own ..... Self repairing though.
Check the air in that front tire please.
