My first PC was a P2 (I think it was) that was overclocked to 501mhz! 64mb of SDRam which eventually was upgraded to 192mb. Not only was that crazy talk, it was also the max supported. I dont remember the hard drives before 20gb, but it was something that was upgraded several times. CD burner was a heaven sent. Finally a way to store data efficiently. By then it was like 98 (?) and I upgraded to an AMD 1400 or such. The PCs before this werent mine, so I dont count them, but technically I started with a commodore 64.

For me it all started with a BBC B BBC Micro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My first pc was an 8088 with a 12" green screen ..... remember those.

Next step was 286 then 486. around that time (1990?) I replaced a 2X speed cd rom drive ...at a cost of £140 (>$200)

as time went on we upgraded through P2>P4.... I had still not heard of overclocking

I joined here when I bought my q6600/775 rig......... The rest is a matter of record
    Rig2: 2600K, p67 ud4 8gb samsung green under water on the MOAF rig3 920, x58 ud5, 16GB ripjaws Z on the MOAF.rig4 : 3770K, MIVG, samsung green, spinpoint 103, on the MOAF

Hahahaa.. This will show my age... I my first system was a 486.. when I was 12 or 13.
Then P1, P2, P3, P4, Celeron, AMD, K-Series, Athlon 1800, Athlon 3200, Intel Dual Core, and so on..
I think in the last 18 years or so I have gone through enough systems then I can count. It has been a addicting hobby since..

I still remember when the WWW was first launched and the AOL days.. lolz.
