Default Ronmey invested in company that disposed of Fetuses

Romney Invested in Medical-Waste Firm That Disposed of Aborted Fetuses, Government Documents Show | Mother Jones

Earlier this year, Mitt Romney nearly landed in a politically perilous controversy when the Huffington Post reported that in 1999 the GOP presidential candidate had been part of an investment group that invested $75 million in Stericycle, a medical-waste disposal firm that has been attacked by anti-abortion groups for disposing aborted fetuses collected from family planning clinics. Coming during the heat of the GOP primaries, as Romney tried to sell South Carolina Republicans on his pro-life bona fides, the revelation had the potential to damage the candidate's reputation among values voters already suspicious of his shifting position on abortion.

Agreed, but I see the situation as having to vote for the 'lesser of two evils'. There isn't a great, clear choice as has been in the past.
The US government budget for 2013 is posted now and when analyzed, paints a bleak picture of our future fortunes.
    Check this out.

Neil, Mitt is not the lesser of 2 evils, mark my words, if by some chace he gets elected he's going to end up being one of the worst Presidents we have even had. People should be tired of the republicans aways doing things to back the rich, I swear that 50% of voters are either blind or plain stupid lol

    _____________________________

Stan, you misunderstand me,....I think Mitt is a disaster waiting to happen. Obama is the clear choice for me, but there were things that he promised to do, (end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan) that he either didnt do, or he waited forever to do it. (Iraq) He's no superhero.
I know he has had jack **** support from the GOP towards fixing problems in this country, but we shouldn't forget that the Dems had a supermajority (control over the Senate, House, and executive branch) (they could have passed any law that they really wanted too) and they squandered it with bickering and backstabbing. Next election, it was gone.

This is what kills me about this country, we have such short term memories. The debt the purely on GWB, period. He wanted to go to War because the people believe the war is good for the economy, which it is not.

If we elect MR his plan will not work period, if you lower taxes there is absolutely no guarantee people will invest, in times likes these people will pay down debt and save.

If you start cutting government expenditures there will more people unemployed. His plan is a disaster, any Economist worth his salt will say the same thing.

I'm sorry I'm a fiscal conservative, but its the REPUBLICANS who always spend the money look at the data for your self.

If we elect Mitt I bet we will be in another war in less that 2 years and it that happens things are going to get really bad for everyone except for the 1%ERS.

What is never talked about is the outside forces that are adding pressure to the US economy. Everyone thinks Obama can fix it all with a few policy changes and BAM 1 million new jobs! That way of thinking and even discussing the US economy is incorrect. The failure of the European markets is making investors, banks and companies afraid to invest in jobs for fear of another round of recessions brought on by the collapses in the Euro Markets. The Asian markets (China) is also growing at a slower rate then they have been for the last 10 years. This mean China is buying less of everything and focusing more of their money on long term security of their country. I don't mean stocks, bonds or cutting wasteful spending, China is buying massive amounts of Oil and coal from every place possible for storage not consumption. They are changing their habits to brace themselves for the eventual war in the middle east.
Last but not least. The biggest strain on the market is the item that is hardly ever discussed and that Obama or Mitt will never have control over. The price of Crude Oil. Gas prices have doubled and close to tripled since 9-11. That money that people are forced to spend on gas to get to work and school has been leached from consumer spending. If every American that owns a car now has to pay an additional $50 a week for gas compared to say 6 years ago, at some point the companies that rely on consumer spending we have to cut back. If people don't have that $50 they had before to go to dinner, a movie, by a new tv or new bed, then the companies will have no choice but to lay people off. Just think about how much money has been sucked out of consumer spending over the last few years. Our economy is built on spending, if they dont have it to spend, jobs get cut, now even more people have less to spend. Also they are no longer paying taxes, that's a whole other issue.

So basically, say "THANK YOU!"to the a**hole speculators in todays market place for the ever increasing gas prices that is a the single most cause of the slow growth in today's economy. Think about how insane speculators are for a moment. If the US economy is doing poorly they bail out and gas prices plummet. The economy starts doing better again and they flood back into oil and gas futures, gas prices go up. Guess what happens? Of course the market stalls again. Causing prices of oil to fall again. If you dont beleive this, feel free to track it yourself. Keep an eye on oil prices and the stock market.

The problem is GREED, no one wants to create something and sell it for a reasonable profit.

I firmly believe that the stock market and commodities speculation businesses are the real problem.

It's become so easy for people to just trade stocks and make money, trading stocks will never create jobs. Mitt is the poster boy for taking a company and destroying for profit, he is the epitome of greed.

Just the guy that will look out for all us normal working folks, right. Come on give me a "HELL YES".

    Cyber,
You hit the nail on the head. The Europe crysis is the larges looming thing hurting our economy. If things were better in Europe, you would see our GDP rise at about a 3.0 rate and add at least 1.3 more jobs. Now, Ronmy promised 7 million more jobs and more tax breaks for the wealthy. Ok, 7 million more jobs in what country?

There is 3 Trillion dollras waiting to be invested but companiees will not invest it or create more jobs because it is simple thing called supply and demand. There is just no demand than the global economy makes less demand with Europes, china and India economy.

Obama has 36 months of job growth in a row and the economy grew 1.6% with absolutely no help from Bonehead and McConnell/ If he did not have a GOP that blocked everything he wanted, we would be in much better shape.

You guys are 100% right, but there is another factor we need to start producing stuff in this country and selling it.

Service industry jobs will not solve the problem, we need to make things again.

The fed has devaluated the $ Dollar a bit just like China does to their currency. Add freight onto product from China and its is now cheaper in some industries to manufacturer here. Although most are not jumping, some are starting to Migrate back. We cannot rely on factories coming back but try to insure more new companies build here.

Yes that is part of the problem. The real problem however that we are so buried in debt from fighting wars in foreign countries that we can not do anything.

If funny we have money to give to Halliburton for a war, that produces nothing and nothing to spend on more teachers, firefighters, police and building infrastructure.

As long as we waste money fighting wars we will always be in the situation we are in now.

Exactly. The GOP should be tried for treason for the BS they have pulled for the last 36 months. They have risk the well being of every American citizen for political gain.

This was geared towards helping companies borrow and banks to lead from lower interest rates. The problem with this was the massive inflation it create with oil and gas prices. Since Oil is traded worldwide based on the US dollar, it now takes more of those dollars to buy the same amount of oil. A cheap US dollar helps other countries buy our goods and services but it kicks the American citizen ass. Everything we need cost more because of it.. The worst part is lending and growth hasnt changed much. Overseas markets haven't fared much better either. So lets switch back to a strong US dollar and increase growth at home.

Oh lets also stop sending so much money to countries that really dont give a damn if we survive as a nation or not. Isreal, Egypt, Palestine, Pakestan and many more. I have an idea! Lets spend it on us! lets make our schools better. Lets increase the national bandwidth since we place so low in the rankings. Let fix our roads and bridges. Lets pay down our debt. lets...... so many things we could do if we didnt shell out billions to other countries. What do we get in return?

Amen to that. The loss of our country's manufacturing base is a tragedy.

These wars were never even declared, but they cost us our economy, didn't they?

    Exactly! Tried and shot? LOL!
I think that both sides are dysfunctional though. They are owned by corporate interests.

    AND Stan, you said,

"Neil, Mitt is not the lesser of 2 evils, mark my words, if by some chace he gets elected he's going to end up being one of the worst Presidents we have even had. People should be tired of the republicans aways doing things to back the rich, I swear that 50% of voters are either blind or plain stupid lol"

I know he has had jack **** support from the GOP towards fixing problems in this country, but we shouldn't forget that the Dems had a super-majority (control over the Senate, House, and executive branch) (they could have passed any law that they really wanted too) and they squandered it with bickering and backstabbing. Next election, it was gone.
