I should have explained it more the 2 motherboards listed will be one of the options my financial situation is disability income so I would choose on of those two but SSD,s and others are up in the air? Everything is finacially dependent! Like to see what you guys personal preferances on an SSD in the 256gb range Coolers not real high tech just all in one types for time being! Ill be playing around with some mild oveclocking and Gaming ! Just more or less my personal HOT ROD and some modding going on also adding Temp displays an assortment of fans! Just going to get the build done and then go from there!

Personally, Id hold off SSD, grab a 7000 series Radeon instead of the Nvidia. Def go with w7.

As far as AIO coolers go, there is a tradeoff: the comparable Cooler Master units seem to out-perform their Corsair counterparts by a VERY small margin (we're talking like 1-2C at MOST), however the pumps themselves are not only very noisy by comparison, but the Cooler Master units offer no additional built-in fan speed control or RGB customization (lighting). As a result, the Cooler Master unit will DEFINITELY, in general, be significantly louder than a Corsair unit without enough of a performance difference to justify any money saved.

Motherboard-wise, you can't go wrong with either board. I personally own the Sabertooth and it has been an incredibly painless user experience for me, especially with using the AI Suite to alter BIOS-set clock speeds and voltages for the CPU straight from the Windows environment. Regardless of which one you go with, you should reasonably expect overclocking in the range of 4.6-4.8 ghz range on average with a good chip and good cooling.

For a cost-effective and fast 256 GB SSD, AData makes a pretty good unit, as does Corsair (Neutron series).

Given the price of most current 660Ti cards, you are better off going with a 760 if you were to stay with nVidia. Better performance and overclocking without quite as much power consumption given the refined GK 104 die. For slightly more you can find a 7970 , which will have a fair bit more staying power even with the upcoming release of the Volcanic Islands GPU's next month.

I would DEFINITELY stay with Windows 8. it is nowhere near as bad as people are making it out to be, and it will actually net you a performance increase over Windows 7 due to better task scheduling across multiple cores. Linus Sebastian actually did a review on Intel and AMD based systems on Windows 7 vs Windows 8 and saw anywhere from 3-10% performance improvements on 8 over 7. At the time of filming, there were some compatibility issues with some of the games, but those have largely been fixed as of late. The performance gains were mostly seen in minimum framerates, where they were, for the most part, MUCH higher than before, and therefore programs were generating better averages than they were which amounts to a much smoother gaming experience.

Hope any of that helps out at all. looks like the makings of a pretty solid rig!

Just a word of caution on windows 8, I've had a few Borderlands 2 game crashes with it, and my audio driver kept saying I unplugged the jack, even though the sound still worked fine and nothing happened. I just went back to windows 7 and those problems are gone. I wouldn't go windows 8 for now, too many bugs.

Im getting there but Ive been planning this build every since the FX8350 came out! Some of the parts I have in a current build, some of the parts I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time which Im so thankfull for because its just really hard to come up with cash! So getting the CPU ,cooler, SSD and motherboard is whats holding back just get one at a time! As far as the SSD getting I had been leaning toward a Kingston or the Corsair Nuetron just wanted to get some of you guys opinions on what you are using and finding the best price! I have the option of using Windows 8 I have a copy on hand but most of what Ive read its questionable Ive got good use out of Windows 7 if I dont use it maybe Ill sell it spend the money on a part or give it to my brother, Im going to be building him a computer he and my sister n law have been a blessing to me they done a lot for me helping to keep me alive!!! Thats another project LOL got my hands full plan on building them a new computer! Probably going with the A10-6800 K APU using mostly the same setup as they are using in the AMD Test Drive program for what they will using it for it will be a perfect PC and will be an impressive upgrade from the P4 they are using!

Well feel like Im banging my head against the wall not getting anywhere further yet! I had planned on getting a motherboard this month but the bills always come first! Damn for some reason they always want you to pay the Rent and Powerbill every month Hmmm thats aggravating!Anyway going to try again next month want to jump ahead and try to get the MOBO and the CPU at one time next month! So going to try again might have some change left over next month and you guys might be seeing me in the Buy, Sale, and Trade Thread with some items to sell!!! To help me get this build to become a reality before Christmas!!!! The only problem is a couple things I might put up for sale will kinda HURT to get Rid of because like anything else some things you just dont want to turn loose of but Im going through my closet and storage building see what all i got. Got some parts and all kinds of assorted electronics! Have no idea but need to clear out the storage building anyway costing me money! No telling whats in there! LOL even got a dual moniter stand! Dont know what size moniters it holds but its built like a tank heavy duty! So maybe I can scrounge up some money ! So LOL if you see me in that thread Im getting serious and desperate to get my Dream Build done !

Windows 8 sucks ! I just received a 17.3" laptop that Dell built for me, it was supposed to have a back lit keyboard, and Win 7 pro 64bit due to the 8GBs of memory, also facial recognition. To my surprise it came without the back lit keyboard, no facial recognition, and Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. I also didn't realize it was going to be so heavy, this is the first laptop I ever bought. I do have an extra 480GB SSD hanging around so I guess I'll remove the 750GB and replace it with the 480GB and install Win 7 Pro 64 bit, if they refuse to send me what I ordered.

Dell is reatarded lol Doesnt seem like they came even close to what you ordered. The 17" notebooks are always kind of on the heavy side. Since the base is larger they tend to add more heatsinks and a larger battery adding to the overall weight. If it is a gaming machine it can really get heavy.

Send it back????? Your kinda missing to options sounds like you really wanted! I wouldnt mind having those 2 options myself especially with since my vision is getting a little weak in my old age which is probably bout a year behind you Stan! LOL that means we are getting OLD OLD and Older everyday pisses me off! I dont like this getting older **** and the medical problems too!!! Who ever the FOOL was that said you older years are the best years had to be on drugs or to old to figure out how ****ty it can be!!!! LMAO! As far as Windows 8 Ive got a copy of Windows 8 pro 64 but after reading friends comments and countless reviews I think when I build my brother his computer Ill put it on there maybe and fix it to look like 7 if it can be done! So the first time you buy a laptop and dell gets it wrong! Hmmmm LOL dont they know you do unbiased reviews?? LOL! Good luck on your new laptop I wouldnt mind at times buying one Im using a IBM Lenovo thinkpad my brother bought at an auction where he works when they got new ones and I didnt think I would care for a laptop but sitting on the couch chatting here in the forums it comes in handy and it works pretty good after a ditched all the garbage software put Windows 7 on it and added some ram! Its a neat little laptop/ notebook with finger print reconition that I dont use! Hope Dell sends you what you asked for and makes it right with you!
