Default Worst Experience Ever - Ripped off by former forum Owner

I know I have been gone for quite a while and I haven't been active on the forum at all. I have been having personal issues that have been taking up a lot of my time. Anyways...I would like to address a very serious issue I have been having with a former member of the PureOC community. Rumor has it, I am not the first person to have such an issue, which I will address here in a moment. Purchasing parts from another person online has it's benefits and it's downfalls. I personally am on the crappy end of such a deal.

Some of you may know that at one point before his departure; Stan Miranda - former owner and site manager, had entered into an agreement to sell me a sweet system. The original specs were to include: 4770K, Msi GD65 Gaming, 32GB Ram, full XSPC water cooling, Corsair 900D, Seasonic 1250watt gold cert psu, 2X GTX 780's, 512Gb PCI-E SSD, media card reader, dvd rw, fan controller for $1800.

At one point when I was ready to pick up the completed build, Stan sent me an email stating he dropped the case and the motherboard had broke at the pci-e slots and both the motherboard and graphics cards were destroyed. (He shortly after unloaded two GTX 780's to other forum members for an unknown amount of $)

After this incident Stan said he could no longer complete the build for the original cost of $1800. He then contacted me and told me that he would get a new motherboard and install 2X HIS 290X's into the system for a new total of $2400. Over the course of several months I had tried to go and pick up the system from Stan at his home. He kept putting it off and putting it off. Months had gone by. I explained to him I wasn't happy that I felt I was getting a short stick with lesser quality parts and an increased price. I did eventually pony up the rest of them money. I paid him in full $2400 and he kept putting off sending me the system. I tried several times to schedule a time to pick it up from him. He kept giving me excuse after excuse.

Eventually I went to his home to get it. This is a 10 hour drive one way from my home so 20 hours round trip. The system wasn't put together. All he had was the mobo, *16Gb Ram, the 2X HIS R9 290X's and the case. I took these parts from him.

After another 3 months Stan has not supplied me with the rest of the parts. He has now stopped responding to my emails and refuse to come up with any sort of resolution to this situation.

Parts I am currently missing include: PSU, CPU Block, Waco Fittings, DVD RW, Media Card Reader. Also he refused to send me the Msi GD65 Motherboard box because it was DOA. I would also like to state for the record the system was to include 32Gb Ram, He only gave me 16GB.

I am trying to pursue legal action at this point.

I would like to know who else has had such a terrible experience. I would have posted this a lot sooner but, I was afraid of reporcussions. When Stan departed PureOC I was in the middle of doing a review. He sent me an email and told me not to do the review or finish it at all. He was moving to a new site and was going to take me with him. Given the fact that Stan already had a lot of my money I was reluctant to go along with him but, I didn't want to lose my money so I followed his instructions. This has created a problem for PureOC as well because ThermalTake sent items that never got reviewed and they haven't been back since this incident.

Please take the time and only state facts if you repond. I am not name calling. I am only stating facts which I can prove via emails back and forth with Stan and myself. Also several members knew of this deal between Stan and myself before his departure.

All I can say is I would NEVER give anyone a dime of my money until the system they promised to build me was completed and ready for delivery. And then I would test it thoroughly before taking delivery and forking over the dough. That said, this is a pretty ****ty deal if it's true. I'd like to hear Stan's side of the equation. I'm not taking sides here at all, but I've done business with him concerning much less money and he always delivered what he promised. That was a long time ago though.

Zack, lets be honest and start out with the real truth, to start with you wanted this build done with two GTX780s which I had sitting here, then a month later you changed your mind and wanted two 290X GPUs which I got for you by charging close to $1200 on my credit card. 6 months go by and not a single email or payment, then you tell me you sent a check for$1300 which never arrived, in the mean time I email and tell you I picked up a new Asus DVD burner for you, you tell me you do NOT want the DVD burner, the red tubing you had me order or the fan controller that you had everything you need. In the mean time you tell me you will be here Friday to pick up the system. I email you back tell you your check still has not arrived so unless you plan on bringing the balance with you not to show up, you email me me back said you had the cash and would be here Sat, and I told you I was still waiting for your pump, so what do you do next ? you show up at my house 3 days early unannounced at 9am at night, hand me $200 and tell me the check for $1100 will be here tomorrow and that you had to take the system with you. So like any one else here would do when some one still owed you $1100, I said no way, it's not leaving here until I have been paid in full.

You leave here pissed off, come back 20 mins later tell me to remove the both 290X card, hold to the cooling system then ship everything when the check arrived. Now, if every one remembers, he wanted to take the system telling me the check would be here the following day, big surprise when no check came the next day or for the following 2 weeks so your plan was to talk me into giving you everything and ripping me off for the $1100. Guys a month went by before I finally received payment on a check that was supposed to be here the next day. Zack your pissed off for failing to steal from me, In the mean time you ask me to ship everything I had, then once again you change your mind and said you never wanted the 4670K that it was a 4770K, so just to shut you up and against my better judgement I order you the 4770K, a brand new Swiftech pump, them you tell me not to forget the 480GB SSD, when you had already told me you wanted the 512GB PCI-e SSD which was brand new,. and what I sent to you. The night you showed up to steal from me you have your son carry the new compression fittings out to the car while you carried the case, then email me a month later saying you do not have them, which was another lie on your part.

What I owe you is the PSU but lets remember that I also gave you a brand new be quiet 1000W in a sealed package, which you looked at and carried out to your car, then a month later ship it back saying you wanted a 1200W, at this point I'm so sick of dealing with your crap that I agree to send you a brand new 1200W but tell you I have to have surgery and did not know if I could ship it before of after. Zack, you made me wait 6 months before you got back to me, you come to my house at 9pm on a Weds evening with plans on taking the build and not paying for it, you lie to me about a check for $1100 saying it would be here the next day, you lied about the SSD, 4770K, but I still gave everything to you, and I also did you a favor and shipped you a brand new 360 Monsta Rad instead of the XSPC RX 360 v2, but I see you also left that out of your post. I have surgery Tuesday morning, so as planed the 1200W will go out Weds morning.

After everything you pulled on me, your lies, trying to rip me off, and now not posting the truth, makes me understand why your wife left you. You also left me hanging with a $1200 credit card charge for over 6 months, at this point I'm a fool for not charging you for the credit card interest. As mentioned, your PSU will go out Weds morning, and if I find one more post like this, I will sue you for slander. The night you showed up here with plans to rip me off, I emailed a bunch of people and told them what you tried pulling on me I was shocked that you showed up 3 days at 9pm, and lied about the check. Enough with the lies Zack, for once in your life be honest. For every one else here, beware when dealing with Zack or hearing the old excuses that the checks in the mail. If Zack had left the build here to be completed he would have had everything, but no he had to take it with him that night, and ask me uninstall parts until the check arrived. Lets face it, mail from Mass to PA takes 2-3 days to arrive, not a month. After 2 weeks and not being able to provide any kind of proof that he actually mail the check, he tells me it was lost in the mail, and that they told him he had to wait an additional 18days before they could replace it. The post office here in PA said it sounded like a bunch of crap, they contacted the PO in Mass which had no record of a money order being purchased by Zack for $1100 on the day he said it was mailed.

Once again, you stated you dropped the case and the 780's were no good. Not a change I wanted but, I agreed to once you said they were broken. Then you sold them to other forum members. So what is this about me wanting to make changes?

Here's a little tidbit about me Stan. I did 5 years in the US Navy as a combat medic (corpsmen), I made rank of 1st Class Petty Officer in this time. Pretty unheard of for just 5 years but I did it. After I was Honorably discharged (simply because I couldn't take the stress anymore) I returned home and became a Police Officer for 2 years. I decided it wasn't for me. I am a man of my word and we can do this all day. I have never stolen from any body in my life, period! The problem with you is you believe your lies. My wife leaving me had nothing to do with my integrity. We got into an argument and I told her to leave. She left, slept with another guy and got knocked up. I can't have anymore kids and I had enough of her ****. That's what ended my marriage. So if you want to hit me low, you're gonna have to dig deeper because that just isn't going to cut it. You never gave me son the fittings, period. We agreed on an XSPC system, not just an OC Cool stacked radiator. This was never discussed with me and you never sent the cpu block either.

Funny because you know what you gave me...A non-working Msi GD65 Motherboard and you refuse to ship the box so I can RMA is. I can post the pics you sent me of it too. Where you can clearly see bent pins before I even received it

Zack, are you ac tully going to sit there an lie about asking me for 290X cards ? my god it just doesn't stop with you. Lets not forget that you also wanted the case custom painted which Rick did for you. The simple fact remains that if you had left the build here until it was fini8shed we would not be having this problem, but you had tp ashow up 3 days early, have me remove parts ant take the rest of the build with youk, you lies that the check would be here the next day, so if I had let you take everything I would hav e never received the balance, which is why you showed up unannounced at 9pm 3 days early so you could try to catch me off guard and let you take the build, but your plan failed, I had never met you in person, why would I let you take something when you still owed me $1100 ? Now you just sent me an email saying I lied because I posted stuff for Pro-Clockers on Facebooik, what does posting on Facebook have to do with not being able to drive until after the surgery ? I'm not going to risk loosing my license for you, You make me wait m9nths to be paid. you say you mailed the check, but I did not receive payment for another month, making it a total of 7 months. I already told you the block and PSU will ship Weds, not a day sooner, I'm not going to risk driving. Also, rememkber I have my own stack of emails from you.

Wow, you take the build over a month ago. and this is the very 1st time I've heard anything about bent pins, a CPU was never installed until I shipped the 4770 K to you, so you had to bend the pins, or you would have mentioned something a hell of a lot sooner. All you asked me to ship the box,you never said why, furthermore and I never refused to ship the box, I told you I would have to fold up the box and ship it with the PSU, that I was not going to pay to ship an empty box seperatly.

After you told me you broke the 780's which the emails above prove you said, you tried selling me on dual 770's for an additional $100 more than what the 780's were going to cost because you stated you broke the cards and board. Now if we go back in the forums and see...two forum members stated they bought a 780 from you right after you lied about breaking them. What about the broken Msi Board that you gave me. I never requested any changes till you had problems. I over nighted money to you when you said you needed it. You said you never received payment so I went to the post office, traced them checks, had them replace the checks at $35 a piece and shipped them to you again, and I over nighted money to you 3 times at your request. Then you also tried selling me on 2 R9 280x's, which I declined. We settled on the R9 290x's for a price increase of $600. I also stated to you several times I was going to come down with cash in hand to pick up the system and YOU, Stan Miranda said it wasn't ready on 3 seperate occasions. You received full payment over a month ago and still you haven't shipped the parts. I need fans! I need a cpu block! I need a psu (seasonic 1250watt gold cert s what you said)! I need fittings! I ALSO NEED A WORKING MOTHERBOARD!!!!!

Stan I can contradict everything you have stated with emails between us. Games and bullsh** is your game! How many other people have you ripped off? I am the one to take a stand! It's people like you that give other people bad taste in their mouth. You take people's money and hold their parts, so everyone is afraid to speak up. You told me not to post the TtEsports reviews for David that you were bringing me along to a new site, which you never did. You left me high and dry and screwed PureOC at the same time. You act like a child and throw tantrums like my 3 y/o daughter when you don't get your way. Man up, act your age and make good on the deal you make with me and I will delete this thread. Also you stated more than 5 times that my system was to include 32Gb of Ram. Funny how it only has 16Gb. I DID tell you I didn't need the DVD RW, and Tubing! Doesn't make up for the fact that I haven't received the other parts, That you refuse to respond to my emails. You left me no choice but to expose you for who you really are. So here it is Stan, you in all your glory being caught up in your own lies. Quit making a fool of yourself!

I received the cpu after I got back from PAX East in Boston. Which was 2 weeks ago. I've been busy and didn't get around to installing it, 5 days ago and I immediately sent you an email, which you didn't respond to. I keep getting a post 55 code which is not reading the ram. If you go back to the pics you posted here and on facebook you clearly see the pins are bent in the pics, which you took and posted, so keep on going, tell me more Stan

Here is the only photo I can find Stan still has up of my build. He took the liberty of removing them. Wonder why but, if you look at the socket in the upper middle you can see some deviation of the pins and if you look at the upper right quadrant you can see a few bent pins as well. I should have saved the pics because they were up Thursday.Worst Experience Ever - Ripped off by former forum Owner-1535750_10152058290667347_1325379716_n.jpg
Once again this is a pic he took and posted himself.
