Default US military deploys weapons of the future, gives veterans 1990s tech

There is something fundamentally wrong with democratic society when it puts technologically advanced weapon systems ahead of the well being of our hero's the wounded veterans that have served their country with dignity and were injured doing their duty.

In a speech following the resignation of Eric Shinseki, President Barack Obama said that the computer scheduling systems at many of the nation's government-run veterans hospitals were "broken-down" and stuck in the 1990s. As a reminder: that's the same decade that the Soviet Union collapsed and OJ Simpson was arrested on accusations of double murder. Obama's revelation comes as his administration seeks defense funding of more than $495 billion (PDF) for the upcoming fiscal year and is spending billions on weapons programs to develop "pack mule" robots, drones, microwave ray guns, Flybots, and even sniper rifles that can hit a target from nearly 4,000 feet away.

Im sure this is all obamas fault like everything else. Even though this has been a problem with the VA long before he was elected. As far back as the first Bush. Also the Pentagon largely sets its spending budget and request. So blame the generals and commanders that failed to do thier jobs of protecting ALL servicemen and woman. Not only those that are active and enlisted. This whole mess is a cluster F**k beyond comprehension. Before Shinseki resigned he stated that 60% of the Clinics were following the fake books practice. So sad.

I can see some people trying to blame President Obama. How ever this more of a societal thing based on the perceived importance of technological weapons systems as opposed to the well being and care of our veterans who did their duty and served their country and this is how we treat them. Its truly a shame

The USA has been collapsing since 1933, and will do so internally... we arent quite there yet, but we are getting closer. When the nations start fighting for clean water and land for food, we will see the next world war. In my lifetime, we will see this occur. We are at the brink of self destruction. All this political **** is a cloak for what is really going on... Its not Obamas fault. lol People have no idea that our presidents are NOT in charge... and dont even know themselves, the gravity of which the true power holders have over them. I cant attach to this **** anymore, I study and study, but what I have realized, is it will never change. I have simply accepted it, and am living my life to the fullest here and now. IT is sad... but ya know what, what ever you want, and if you want it bad enough, the Universe will provide it for you. be careful for what you wish for.
