Yet again, another remake of a Marvel Movie... But this one seems to have a different twist from the old one..

Yeah this one doesn't appear childish like the 2005 version. I was not a fan of that crap. I look forward to this one. And they added a black guy! Yay!!!

Filmmakers Break Down 'The Fantastic Four' Trailer, Reveal Most Viral-Ready Frame (Exclusive)

    https://www.yahoo.com/movies/the-fan...246554892.html

When a trailer for a would-be blockbuster like The Fantastic Four arrives, we typically examine the clip frame-by-frame, sussing out the tiniest details and extrapolating key plot points.

This time around, though, we figured we’d have the filmmakers do the heavy-lifting themselves.

Cue director Josh Trank (Chronicle) and screenwriter-producer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past), who graciously agreed to sit down for this exclusive commentary (above) on the newly released teaser about the Fox reboot of the classic Marvel hero team.

Good point, he can act. He has been in some major shows like the Wire, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood, All my Children, Sopranos, Cold Case, Law and Order, and The Assistance. This would probably be his biggest MOVIE to date but as you see he has done well for himself on TV shows. I personally enjoy seeing him as an actor. He is convincing during emotional scenes without coming off as the "Angry Black Guy", Intelligent and has the looks to get a bunch of tang! Name Micheal B. Jordan. No relation to the Jordon. lol Best part he is already signed on for "The Fantastic Four 2" in 2017 so we know he wont be killed off in the opening scene! hahaha

    OK...maybe I'm just cynical.

    But...Fantastic 4...really? Lemme see... 1994 Fantastic 4...(who knew?)...2005 Fantastic 4 (Reboot 1), 2007 Silver Surfer, 2015 Fantastic 4 (Reboot 2)...2024-2025 Super Duper Fantaticer 4.5 (Reboot 3)

    Meh.

I smell SpiderBatMan Syndrome Let's just reboot it every FOO years and pretend it's a new movie, new universe! Eventually, we'll make a good one!

Don't get me wrong, the trailer seems OK, but I just can't get excited about all these damned reboots. I'm not a comic book guy in the first place, but even I can see that there are many potentially more interesting characters in the Marvel universe that could be made into movies...reboots just seem weak.

No you are correct. The reboots and remakes are getting pretty silly. We should never see 4-5 remakes on 1 move in a lifespan worse yet in 10-15 years. lol I like the reboots they are doing now because they are darker, serious, storyline are more compelling. The earlier ones were often very childish and came off as a comic book on film. Too many stupid jokes to distract from the very weak writing. Hopefully this reboot puts the Fan 4 back on track.

Default Re: The Fantastic Four Trailer

I was already not too interested in Marvel any more, long before the trailer debuted, but after this trailer came out I hung up the potential-fan-suit for good. I've seen the company, that I loved dearly as a child, gradually degrade more and more over the years, and I just had to cut off the dead limb and walk away. Literally everything they've done in the last 15 years has been utter dog crap. The comics are garbage, the movies are worse, and I just don't care any more. Not even an authentic, gritty, raw-as-can-be Punisher movie could save them imho. DC's not too far behind them, but at least the majority of their comics are killer reads still (most, but definitely NOT all). Heck, I'm playing New 52 catch-up now and oh my word is what I've been reading awesome! Not 100% of it, but at least 95% of it, definitely. I just finished Batman Zero Year: Dark City, and loved it, now I'm on Sinestro V.1 - The Demon Within, and it's freaking epic!

Again, this new Failtastic 4, to me, looks like utter dog crap. It's nothing like the F4 I grew up loving (don't get me wrong now, although the earlier ones weren't great films, they were at least Fantastic 4, wherein this is far from it). It'd be different if they were doing Future Foundation, instead of Fantastic 4, but they're not, and this film is NOT Fantastic 4 at all.

Think about it from this perspective: "We're making a movie about Metallica, only instead of Cliff Burton - the string-bean white guy, with long, curly hair and epic bass skills - we're putting in, are you ready for this? Wait for it... wait for it... Wesley Snipes! Oh! We're still calling him Cliff, but he isn't a bassist, he's a tambourine player! And instead of long, curly hair, he has a mohawk! And we're going to call the film... METALLICA!!!"

Like I said... Failtastic 4, not Fantastic 4.

It'd be different if they were doing First Family, instead of Fantastic 4, but they're not, and this film is NOT Fantastic 4 at all.

Is there nothing else to make movie about, just the comics, where the movie industry goes? Are they lost they sense and feeling to make some real good movie about real life thing not just those full computer effects crap. I remember some real good movies such "Beautiful Country, Blind Side, Cast Away, The Pursuit of Happiness, Erin Brockovich, Captain Phillips, American Sniper, Patch Adams..." where you had a possibility to see a real acting (not just green screen), real life, real things.

I know exactly what you mean. Those movies dont bring in the big bucks so you never hear about them. You have to go to movie sites to see what they are talking about to find these movies. Or just start watching stuff randomly on Netflix lol

You're absolutely right, now it's just about money not about artistic values. Once we goes to the cinema to leisure and learn something, see something and talk about it for days, now when I see one (based on comics) movie, get out of the theater and after 20 minutes I forgot what I was watching. Movie Industry is used to be called 7th art, now is just 7th crap.

I refer to modern movies as a good way to waste 2hrs of my life. I still watch old black and white films and WWII movies and documentaries. That is not a waste. That is love of movies!
