You can use an existing Google account also or other account. Doesn't just have to be Yahoo.

@mrcapncaveman, click Join Group. After that you have to wait until Selection Sunday (March 15th) - then everything will be open. If you need any help, just let me know.

    Default Re: POC March Madness?

Some questions have been coming in so Cyberburnout figured it'd be best to post them in here for all to see.

64 teams are going to be selected on March 15. Usually there is a play in game as well, but you don't have to worry about that.

For your part in the contest, you're just picking the winners of the games from the first round to the finals. And entering a tie-breaker for points.

You can drag and drop the names or simply click on who you think/want to win and they will advance to the next round. You just repeat this until you've filled it out entirely. One team will be left. Here's an example bracket:

As we can see from the picture, Duke and Harvard were his picks to face off in the championship with Harvard winning it all.

And that's really all you're doing. Just like picking the winner of a soccer match, wrestling, football. Fill out every winner for all the games and hope for the best.

You can start making picks March 16th. All brackets have to be filled out by the tip off time, which would be like 11 AM EST March 19th.

Any more questions just drop them! Hope this explains it all.

Ok, so I've no idea what I'm doing, but I'm just kinda wingin' it, lol. Of course, I have to wait for the seeds to be announced (any idea when that will be?), but I'm in anyway. Man, I hate using my Yahoo account though, lol, but I suppose it's tolerable if it's for a good cause (which this is one ).

Btw, for anyone who can't tell, my Yahoo is "The Mighty El Rondo", lol.

Teams have been selected. You can now begin filling out your brackets.

There is a play-in game, that is why you see Manhattan/Hampton and UNF/Robert Morris. But you don't have to worry about picking a winner, you can fill your bracket out without waiting. Up to you. The play in game has never produced a winner in the tournament. So I'll be advancing Duke and Kentucky. Will have my bracket done soon.

    Good luck all!

I'm surprisingly interested to see how this pans out. What are the rules for prize wins, anyway?

Sounds good, Sandy! For the prize, I actually need another keyboard, so that would be a great prize to win. Best to everyone & thanks again for the opportunity!
