    Question design racks

    Hi all,

I’m looking for some sheet metal fabricators to design and fabricate customized computer racks and server racks for my office. One of my friends referred me to contact Bayview metals, Ontario to fabricate custom designed racks and cabinets. I was using an OEM rack from Dell for the servers. The one which I am currently using is almost full and so I need to buy a new one.

I have decided to design an 84" H - 45U - Four Post 19" Equipment Rack with square holes for cage nuts that will be huge to keep if we need more space to add more electronic equipment. I need to add 16 Outlet - Vertical - 15 AMP (3 Nos), 1U Rackmountable Horizontal Cable Manage (5 Nos), Four Post Rack Adjustable Equipment Shelf-Vented (4 Nos) and more. Need suggestion to choose this manufacturer or any other. Waiting for your reply

    Thanks in advance

    Default Re: design racks

I'm in Northern Virginia, and I use a local fabricator called K-Form (kform) to do all sorts of things. I know they do custom equipment/server racks, although they focus on Tempest and Environmentally controlled racks. I'm sure they can do what you want, but I don't know your quantity, so I don't know if it would be cost effective. 1? Probably not. 10? Maybe. Since I've never bought full up racks from them, it's possible that they already have a design that would work for you. If you're interested, PM me on here, and I'll send you the relevant contact info.
