    Vinnie,
you're absolutely right my friend, looks like the interest of building the new PCs, having technical problems with it, OC, WC, buying new components, Jokes, etc. is completely diminished, not just here, but generally (I'm also member of some Peruvian sites, and the situation is the same).
I also miss the time when this site was very visited and when you could find questions and answers to almost everything related to PC technology. For now, only a few of us are still (more or less) active (You, Josh, Neil, Slot, Me...), and we just have to wait in hope that the crowdy and busy time will return again.

    Always look beyond the limits...

It's the same for the site I moderate, only a certain few pop in anymore with nearly all the rest having moved on or just found something else to do.

But that's life - Things change and sometimes in ways we don't like but we'll adapt.

No overclocking club left here, I remember all the fun we use to have showing off our custom made rigs
with our specs plus all the bells and whistles to go with it.
Plus all the help from lots of members who participated, and what fun we had.

Oh boy, I'm feeling you all on this in some ways. I think the big thing that kills forums nowadays is comment sections. Most people seem to rely on those now for discussion over a dedicated forum, and it's kind of sad. Comment sections aren't very personal and become very susceptible to spam and toxicity. Still, the ability to use social media login and post is where a lot of people are at anymore.

It also doesn't help that I've been less active than usual. I didn't know how to share this, but a reply to this thread seems like the best way. In May, my sister's husband passed away in a freak motorcycle accident. I had to get to the funeral and I was trying to help my dad out at the same time in finding a new job. I had moved him down to the town where I live. After the funeral, my dad had a falling out with me as well. On top of all that, I had lost some renters and had to get someone in my old house again.

The good news is that part of the way I coped with all of that is starting my own site. I didn't want to do a loud announcement on that because I don't want to steal people from PureOC. Also, I want this site to be my fun home, that I don't have to put all the work into all the time. I wanted to share it with you guys though because y'all like family! I got busy and brought hwhound.com to life. It helped me not slip into a depression from all the other issues. And yes, I am currently contributing content to both sites. That won't last forever, but I want to leave PureOC in good hands before dedicating my full attention to the new site. I have more news and reviews on the way for some time to come.

I've also noticed that the PC world is extremely up and down. Intel and Nvidia are likely to pick it back up soon with some decent releases towards the end of the year. Until then, the slump is real though. I don't know. It doesn't feel like PC hardware is at a point to give up on though. Just might take some creativity to bring the life back to the Ghost town. (Possibly a lot of RGB, )

Technology is moving so fast nowadays that its hard to keep up, people are walking around with
their faces in their cell phones, which are in some ways are as powerful now as those computers we built.

This is the future ahead of us whole house programming that does it all no need to build it when its there for the taking.
I still love this hobby though even though its no longer unique, (being one of a kind unlike anything else.)
But most of all I really miss the camaraderie that this site brought with it, and the friends I made along the way.

    Josh,
As far as stealing people from the site they are no longer here to steal.
