Hi! Everyone---My name is Rick and I live in Raymore, Missouri. I have a beautiful family and we have three amazing cats and I have been into PC Gaming and being a PC Enthusiast for 3 years...I have built 4 systems and I love upgrading (when I have the money). I am very pleased with my system, but I am proud of the one for my daughter that has an overclock Q6600 (@ 3.4) being cooled by a Domino Coolit Cpu cooler (she thinks it's cool as well)

Beyond gaming and being an enthusiast I love running...well actually I run 10-13 miles daily and add more miles as I approach a marathon (Running my 6th in October---and my wife will run her 1st half-marathon in October as well).

The loves of my life are my wife of over 24 years and my daughter. I am 41, but with the exercise I feel younger. The longest event I participated in was a Half-Ironman...took me 5 hrs. and 56 mins. I don't do as many Triathlons as I use to but it requires more training than I can afford at the moment.

I also enjoy wine and beer and watching movies....have collected 64 Laser Discs, over 2000 DVDs and 40 Blu-Rays.

My very 1st computer was a Commodore VIC20

Hey folks how are ya? Newbie in the house but I will be good I promise.

First off I have to say thanks to smduff for the invite. I know him from a few other forums that I frequent. I am from just outside Toronto married and 4 young daughters Eh... I see all the crazy things Canadians do have been listed but I will add that all of us as children have stuck our tongues on frozen metal lamp posts just to see what happens. LOL

I currently run a Q9550 at 3.4 and have had it as high as 3.8 but the temps are unreal. The case is an Enermax with and intake fan at front a huge 9 inch side fan which can be used as intake or exhaust and an upgraded 120mm exhaust at the rear. I have changed the CPU coller about 5 times and no matter what make or model I have used can I get decent temps. I see there is a contest for a Domino Coolit unit and boy oh boy would I like to get my hands on that puppy. Maybe I should enter the contest.

Hope to get to know more of you in the future and if I can be of any assistance at anytime please feel free to ask!

    Joel

Thanks for the welcome! Wish I had more time to be here but as of late work is keeping me far busier than it useually does... Have been doing some reading and looking at the case mod section. Some pretty wild and neet mods and some of the wiring and cooling options some are using are truly magnificent!

  11. The following user thanks 4hams For this above post:

I am about 20 minutes from Downtown Toronto. I grew up in Mississauga, well some folks may argue the growing up part... And we are about 20 minutes from Georgetown.

    What about you?
