Default I guess I should make a proper introduction

    Hello folks,
I'll make this as short and sweet as I can. I chose this later time to introduce myself so that I could "fit in" a little more and establish myself better here before I made this thread talking about why I am here.

I could have joined any forum, but I wanted to come to this forum especially because the traffic here wasn't too high. Not to say that this place is boring, but there are a lot of good natured people here that know how to talk about computer stuff without the fanboyism and flaming. It sounds like a great community. I felt that this forum gave great reviews, logical answers to questions in the forum, and this was also a place that won't overwhelm the first-time computer enthusiast.

As for my computing experience, I am not new to computing. I have built 5 computers so far in a 6 year span. I'm always up to learning about new stuff. I do a ton of research and yet, while I don't post much, I'm active. I've helped many people out about computer questions and have even built a couple of simple rigs for friends and family. I tend to lurk a lot here and other forums to get a better idea of items and what's new coming out for computers from the gamers to the computer enthusiasts. With what knowledge I do know, I'll try to give whatever input I can to help out.

I hate that this sounds like a resume, but I wanted to formally introduce myself and let people know here that I am a fan and plan to be here a while. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to PUREOC!
Yeah I have seen you around for the last few times.

You are right about PURE, we are not big as some other forums. We have some good people here to lend a hand to help each other, we don't flaming or fanboyism to each other. We try to keep PUREOC is clean place for everyone. We also have members all over the globe, therefore some of them English is not their mother tounge. So we're avoiding using slang language as much as possible, just straight plain English. I think you have notice?

PUREOC is a pay forward place, most of our Core Members are happy to help anyone need help to their capability and all we ask from the rest of our members is keep this place clean and friendly, and use your knowledge to help newcomers (noobs).

Skyguy and Dr. Death are the head honchos here, I'm sure they will stop by and say hello with few words.

Welcome to PureOC Nova, good to have you!

We try to make this place a bit different, and I think it shows in our attitude and approach. Glad you enjoy what you've seen, and we certainly appreciate you providing your help to other people. What's also interesting here is the more you give, the more you get, and sometimes not in ways you'd normally expect.

And on a side note, last time I was in Florida I stayed in Fort Myers Beach....you on the Gulf side?

Yeah, I wanted to lurk a bit and be a bit involved with some of the threads before I posted on one. I'm glad I decided to do such.

Actually Central Florida, close to Tampa.

I can do what I can as far as information goes. Though I may not afford a HD 5870 card or have the big full tower case, but I know about the technology make due with what I can have.

I didn't notice that you lived in Florida, I lived on there for 8 yrs back in the 80s in Clearwater, Largo, Indian Rocks Beach. How long have you been in Florida ?

Keep your eyes open for a post for one of our giveaways, it should be up in the next day or two.

Oh, I moved to Florida from NY in June of 1999, so well over 10 years.

Will do on those giveaways. The most I ever won in anything was a lotto scratch-off for $50. LOL
