    Good idea, I've got a mini compressor with tank for airbrushing, so that would only have to run part time...

    getting rid of your compressor
    there are ways to run a line frome a remote location.

    cold water APEX is cheap, holds hard line pressure performance for pnumatics, and can be reduced to 4-6 feet of heavy wall silicone tubing on a quick disconnect fitting

    that is under the asumption your actually connected to an air line for the compressor??
