Default Na Na Na Na - Goodbye - Xplornet

Finally got rid of Xplornet Sat account

As I use a Turbo stick now, I wanted to downgrade xplornet sat pkg from $102/mth to
    basic ~ $49/mth

The xplornet tech unregistered my DW7000 modem & couldn't get it to re-register - no inet service at that point & said they had to send a tech to my place to get it re-registered & to work

    NOW GET THIS!!!

It would take until the next week ~5 or 6 days to get the service done

They also said I would have to pay the entire cost of the service call, labour & mileage!!!! WTF!!!

So I had them cancel xplornet entirely.

Got another Turbo stick for wife & TutleSHELL use.

I will get the DSL cable run in this spring & be done with all this ripoff ISP idiocy once & for all.

    GOOD RIDANCE
    Regards, Doug

That reminds me of a ATT dsl issue. I moved to a home in the same neighborhood. I called ATT to have the service disconnected and connected the same day I moved. To my dismay, the new service was not hooked up. Keep in mind I need the internet for business as I use internet lfaxing between client/myself and my factories.

I called ATT and inquired why the new service was not hooked up. The CSR explained nobody put the paperwork in to connect the service. Mind you, dsl does not need to run lines and I had the plug ins and router. I replied,'OK, well turn the switch to on and all is good." She said, "we are sorry but it wiil take 5 days to get you connected." I was pissed. I then mentioned to take my case and move it to the front of the line seeing it was your companies mistake. The same reply fame from her mouth per vatum.

I called Comcast and they said we can be out the next day so I said OK. I called back, cancelled my ATT dsl and they never questioned it. I was so pissed, I did not pay my last bill. 6 years later they are still trying to collect the $100. Everytime they call, I tell them to go get f#%ed. They finally quit bothering me.

I now enjoy much better service and much more bandwidth for less $.

My ex-friend Luc had the worst case I ever heard of a few years back...

His Videotron modem was spoofed & the mac number burned to another hackers modem.

He got HUGE charges (thousands of $s) & the long & the short of it - Videotron kept charging him for useage for over 3 months more - even after he returned the modem to them & he had cancelled his account.

They then gave the bill to a Debt Collector who hasseled him for over a year - then it got sent to a lawyer's office for court action - Luc could not even go to court without 1st paying the entire amount + lawyers costs first!!!!!!!

The lawyer finally believed him & stopped the court actions against him.

This was a 3 year+ battle to resolve & have the non-payment removed from the Credit Bureau.

    Poor b@stard
    Regards, Doug
