(Should I Buy??) Asrock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3
There is a pre launch promo bundle with i7 2600k pretty good price....just wondering if i should make the switch or wait for LGA2011 x79 ?
The features of this board is pretty impressive seems to be future proof enough?

LGA 2011 is not due out to early 2012 at the earliest. It could be 2nd quarter 2012. Get it now. Price/performance is there..

I think I read somewhere that that specific board was the first motherboard to support the PCI Express 3.0 standard. Please don't quote me but I am pretty sure thats what it said.

If I didn't have a Z-68 board already I would get that one, it looks really nice. EDIT I just saw the price, it would have to be one heck of a board for me to buy that for 439.00 MSRP. I have the Asrock Z68 Extreme 4 and its really a nice board for 189.00.

AMD has yet to convince me on their BD performance. Dont get me wrong not a fanboy here but my LGA1366 seems to be a little dated and its about time to revise

Yes that's part of the reason for me to make the change, PCI-E 3.0, USB3.0, Lucid virtua, Hybrid SSD etc... all in one package is definitely future proof enough for me I must say

yes you can use triple channel mem on the new SB boards, however you will loose the bandwidth and the new mem designed for SB has lower voltage.

Hmm...why would there be bandwidth lost? what is the Safe voltage limit Intel has set this time on their memory? LGA1366 was 1.65v so what is sandy bridge

Bully, P67 memory kits run between 1.5v and 1.65, depending on the kit, however all the kits made for P67 and Z68 are Dual Channel .
