Default Does Gigabtye have offset mode overclocking?

For Gigabyte z77, x79 users can you tell me if Gigabyte BIOS supports offset mode overclocking like ASUS motherboards do? I think its a really brillant way of saving power and i'm thinking of getting the Gigabyte z77-UP7 and hope that offset mode available as well.

    Thanks in advance

Some do some don't. I think Z77 and X79 do. Let me get home and check my X79. Do you need a X79 motherboard? I have two Bully. Let me know. Also, I think we have the Z77 UD7 coing for review so hold on.

Bully I'm having the new Z77X-UP7 sent to Jim for review, he should be receiving the sample by Oct 5th, or at the very latest Oct 10th. Didn't you read our ASRock Z77 OC Formula review ? right now this is one of the top Z77 boards out there, with a world record of over 7GHz with a 3770K.

IMO, world record mean nothing to me because you can't use it 24/7. The stable setting for 24/7 on regular cooling or at least water are my decision to buy the board.

Thanks Jim, really happy to hear that we have one coming in for review. I'd like to avoid the x79 due to the heat output reason, the z77 is already dumping a lot of heat into my 30c room with my pc turned on it usually drives the temp up to 33c

Stan Thanks for arranging the UP7, glad to hear that we have one coming in for review. I've heard a lot about the z77 formula doing 7.1ghz if i remember correctly the UP7 did achieve 7.1+ghz as well but then again i know that i will never go anywhere near that kinda of clocks. The z77 Formula color theme is kinda off for me that yellow color is not my type
