Default Quick total noob question. H100 installation.

Hey, so I'm new to this PC building scene, obviously.

I've got an ASUS M5A99X EVO board.
I'm using the H100 liquid cooling unit, and my question is..

Would I plug the 3 pin fan connector intot he 3 pin PWR fan port on the MB, or the 4 pin CPU fan port?

I am going to assume the CPU fan port as it's the CPU cooler, but I have to ask so I don't mess something up.

If your using the H100, first make sure you have the pump 3pin plugged into the CPU fan header. For the best performance with the H100, you should be running 4/120mm fans in a push pull configuration, and control the fan speed with a fan controller . If you haven't paid for the H100. then by all means go with the Thermaltake water 2.0 Extreme, it performs much better than the H100

I've got the H100 installed right now. Waiting the PSU and CPU to arrive today.
I was going to do the 2.0 extreme, but I don't think it'd fit..
The h100 with a slim rad BARELY fits with the mobo in.

I told you in your last post, that I had installed both the H100 as well as the TT Extreme in the 550D with no clearance issues.

I saw that, but it was a couple days after I purchased the H100.
If it all fits without issues, I'll get the 2.0 Extreme in a week and use that instead. I'll toss the H100 on CL or save it for a different build.

Doesn't the H-100 plug into the CPU fan header and the two fans plug into the ports on the pump housing?

Stan's idea to use a Fan Controller and ~four~ fans in a push/pull configuration is the best way to go.
I would use premium aftermarket fans instead of the ones that come with the H-100.
I personally like the Cougar Vortex PWM fans that you can get on Newegg. They are quiet, and they move a whole lot of air through the radiator.

The pump itself has a power plug that plugs into the PSU, and a "fan plug" that I was told plugs into the CPU port, which I just did.

But with the fans, I was told to go with Newegg.com - Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Case Fan those fans.

I'll grab both just in case. I do plan on getting different fans to replace all the fans in the case.
It came from newegg with a "high performance" fan but we'll see how that works tonight.

Yes but there is a 3 pin fan plug that comes out of the pump, along with the pump power cable.
That is what plugs into the MB, I was just curious as to which one I should use.
