I personally wouldn't buy a refurb SSD.. In fact I don't even like to use refurb HD's... I had RMA 4 seagate HD in the last yr and they sent me back refurbs... All of them are still sitting in my cabinet cuz i refuse to use them and won't sell them since there is a high chance of failure...

That is my personal take on it..

That was my thought too, they'll replace the drive but they won't replace your data (not that they should or can)

Jim instead of buying two SSDs, just go for a 480GB or 512GB SSD. To be very honest with you, I would save the cash, and buy the new Crucial M500 960GB for $600 once it's released.
    2nd system

    ASRock Z77 OC Formula, 2700K, Two EVGA GTX680s, and one GTX660 Ti PE, 16GBs 2133MHz, Lian Li A75X , Maxrevo 1500W, TT Extreme 240

    3rd system

ASUS ROG X79 Rampage 4 Formula, 3930K, Boreas Chiller, VisionTek 480GB, WD 750GB, 16GBs Kingston HyperX Red 1600MHz, Two GTX680s, OCZ 1250W, CM Stryker modded for the Boreas Chiller, 3 white Skull fans grills from MNPCTech.

I've bought refurbished 1TB drives from WD, and Samsung and have never run into a problem with them, in fact their still being used.
What it comes down to, is which company you buy from, and how much they care about their reputation.
