    Default New Mobo

    Hey all,

My Pegatron M2N78-LA VIOLET6 just went out on me, and I'm looking for a decent replacement that can handle some online gaming. Any suggestions?

Are you looking to stick to your CPU or looking into possible changing that out as well.?

I believe the chip you have is a AM2 socket correct? If that's the case, depending on your budget you may have to buy used. You can NOT use a AM3 board with your chip since the memory control is diff on the AM2 chips, I believe you are also using DDR2 RAM. Also the AM2 is 940 pin and most AM3 boards are 938 pins.

What is the budget you are trying to stick to at the moment?? Maybe Newegg as some AM2 boards still in stock. With it being a few generations old, it will be hard to find newer mobos.

For a new Mobo my budget is about 100-150. If that's even possible with my AMD2 DDR2 PCU.
