Default 2nd 900D what should I do with it, looking for suggestions

As you all know I have two 900D cases, omne has been shipped to Bill to do the paint and artwork, and the 2nd one is sitting here. The custom build with the EK parts will have an X79 build with two GTX690s, 64GBs of memory full custom water with two 480 Rads, dual 240GB SSDs and more, so what would you guys like to see in the 2nd 900D Build ? I have an extra X79 board and 32GB kit, or I also have a couple of Z77 boards, or we could wait until Haswell has been released, and go with a Z87 and 4770K. For GPUs., either two 780s or two 770s, I'll have both here, I also have at least three 360Rads, and should have blocks for the 780s, also a 480GB SSD. and a PSU ranging from 1200W up to 1600W. I also have at least 3 six channel fan controllers, and plenty of Rad and case fans, so lets see what you guys can come up with for the 2nd 900D build. Thanks

As far as Haswell goes, I have to wait an see which boards we get in for review, if I go with Haswell it has to be a high-end board, and they seldome release high end boards at launch. I've also noticed some problems with the 900D, and after speaking with 4 other people that own the case, or reviewed it, they also found the same problems. The magnets used to keep the lower compartments close on each side, seem to be too weak to do their job correctly, so I ordered my own to fix them. 2nd problem also has to do with the magnets on the fan filters, which has the same problem as the lower compartment doors, so every one has to be replaced. 3rd, the mesh panel on the top on the case is very hard to remove, every one I've talked to said you need a 2nd person to help you remove it, so I'm going to have to find a way to mod the panel to make it easy to remove, seeing as I'll have to install 4 fans up top for the 1st 480 Rad, and wil most likely be changing them at a later date. The 2nd 480 will be installed in the lower left compartment, buit this is for the EK build, I'll be using two - three 360 Rads for the 2nd build. Either one up top and one in each of the lower compartments, or 1 up top, 1 lower left side, and 1 in front. Seeing as I already have blocks coming for the 780s, I'll be using them in this build. The GTX Titan blocks do fit the 780s, and I did recevie one yesterday from XSPC.

Sounds like the case was rushed to market without proper testing.

As for what to do, put a haswell build in it until steamroller comes out then put that in it with a full loop.

Not sure if I'll be doing another AMD build, but you never know. I do have that really great looking X79 board from Intel sitting here, and an extra 64GB 1866MHz kit which I would hate to see go to waist, so maybe slap in a 3930K or a 3970X to match the power of the GTX780s ?

    Stan,

As an old flatlander raised in Haswell Colorado, I say wait for the high end boards.

Default Re: 2nd 900D what should I do with it, looking for suggestions

Why the Hell did you edit everyone's posts, Doc? No really, does someone have access to your account or something? Strange crap going on here at PureOC lately.

    - Remove all drive bays but one, for fan control. Toss the new Lamptron controller in there.
    - Rebuild the front panel from scratch, from a solid piece of alu, to remove excess drive bays.
    - Install a 420mm rad in the front. (Why? Because the case ISN'T designed for it. Have an actual mod this time around.)
    - Install a 420mm rad in the roof.
    - Place HDD rack and pumps (dual loop, yes?) in the basement.
    - No reservoirs.

Skip Haswell. Too long off for real parts to show up.

Hey earth, you couldn't be more wrong ! All I did was add the " H " in the title of the thread, it said sould instead of should so all that I did was correct the spelling, no one's post was touched !

Earth, why are you staring this crap ? I already told you all I did was add a "h" to should. Do you see any complaints that I changed the wording in their posts ? NO because it never happened, only if your paranoid conspiracy theory mind lol Get over it and move on. I added the missing h in the original post, but that did not automatically fix the missing h in the title on the replies, that had to be done manually ,
