    Question Opinions on Potential Build

Hey there, I'm kinda new here, so sorry if this is asked A LOT... but I'd like your opinions on a build I'd like to make. I'm new to the whole system-building scene, and I'm concerned that I'm overdoing it a bit.

Chassis: NZXT Source 210 Elite- White
    MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V LK
    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
GPU: MSI N660 Ti Power Edition
    CPU Cooler: NZXT RL-KRX 40-01
    Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B
Storage: Corsair Force Series GS 180GB
    RAM: Corsair Vengeange 8GB (4GBx2)
    Optical: LG GH24NS95 x2
    WiFi Adapter: Rosewill N900 PCE

This build will roughly run me around $1200. Am I paying too much, or are there different parts that I can put in for a little more power for less money? Just looking for ideas/opinions/constructive criticism. I know it's a lot to look up, but I'd really like to know if I'm doing this right

    Only changed a few things.

    Case - NZXT Source White - 39.99 + 7.99
    Mobo - Asus P8Z77-V LK - 139.99
    CPU - i5 3570k - 219.99 + .99
    GPU - Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 - 399.99 + 5.92 (only 90 more than 660ti and much, MUCH faster)
CPU Cooler - Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo - 32.99 (recoup 60 bux from the added on the graphics card, people OC 3570k well over 4gz all day on this thing)
    PSU - Corsair CX750 - 79.99 (Prefer Corsair or PCP&C for PSUs)
    Storage/SSD - Corsair Force GT 240gb - 199.99 (May as well pay 20 extra bux for 60gb)
    RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb) - 69.99
    Optical - Two LGGH24NS95 - 17.99 x2 - 35.98
    Wifi - Rosewill N900PCE - 34.99
Total: 1253.89, not including the above shipping charges, or (on the other side) available rebates to knock off the price.

If you're going to go ahead and pay 1200, an extra 50 for some worthwhile upgrades, with the only tradeoff is the CPU cooler choice. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a Hyper EVO instead of my Corsair H100, and dumped that money into a larger SSD. Which is what I did for you.

$1200 worth of hardware with a $30 cpu cooler. I have used the Hyper 212 evo. It is what I was using before I switched to Waco setup, its a good entry level cooler. You will need to buy an extra fan for push pull if you want to do any OC with the EVO. That gets you close to $50 for the setup. Im sure there is something better then the 212 at the $50-$60 price range that will be quieter then 2 120mm fans trying to cool an overclocked Ivy with an entry level cooler. Just MHO. H80i, H100i, 110, kraken 40, TT Water 2.0 series and many others will get you better cooling performance and allow you to OC a lot higher then a 212.

Oh and dont hesitate to send Death a msg about a system. He has taken care of me on multiple occasions.

for $1200 I can build a better system for him, and I will not be using a cheap case, also no cheap CPU coolers, I'll use a AIO system, also 16GBs of memory instead of 8, An SSD for his boot drive, and a 1TB for storage. I could also go with dual GPUs instead of a single GPU, and the PSU would be a 1200W, I do not have anything smaller, the PSU's I have here range from 1200W to 1600W. I'd also go with DVD burner, plus a Blue - Ray player.

I have to discourage you in getting a P8Z77-V LK... it's not really a "good and solid" overclocking motherboard (since you opted for a i5-3570k) I friend of mine had one, can only do light overclock. A P8Z77M-PRO is better or if you can get a P8Z77-V. Looks like Stan have something better to offer, better go for it

Your forgetting that this is a review site, and we do a hell of a lot reviews, in which we get to keep the products we review. The Z77 board would be the ASRock OC Formula, as far as the new MSI GTX660Ti Power Edition, I took it in trade for one of the 3 HD7950s I sold to a friend, it was still in a sealed box. I also have at least3 brand new HD7790s sitting here, as well as 7-8 SSDs. You can ask Jim, he's been here before, I have so many products sitting here, that it looks like a warehouse lol

Thanks so much, you guys. Unfortunately, being a student, I'd be cobbling these parts together over time. A very, very long time. I'll definitely shoot you a PM, though, Death. I'd be interested to know the specs.

I also have at least3 brand new HD7790s sitting here, as well as 7-8 SSDs. You can ask Jim, he's been here before, I have so many products sitting here, that it looks like a warehouse lol
