http://kotaku.com/msi-debuts-the-wor...min-1031140512MSI's GS70, a 17-inch gaming laptop that's only .85 inches thick and weighs less than six pounds. My god.
“The GS70 has the capability to crush the most demanding games and the featherlike portability for on-the-go multi-tasking or gaming,” stated Andy Tung, vice president of sales for MSI US via official announcement. “We understand the needs of our audience and are committed to delivering solutions that exceed even the highest expectations.”

Very nice. About time they made them thinner. Most are tanks! Now this will probably overheat in no time lol

Very nice. I have the GT70, the only problem with the laptop is the weight.
The GS looks to solve the weight problem.
I have never had any issues with the heat with the GT70 . There is a Turbo button for the fan which cools everything down.

Thinner and even less room for air flow, laptops and notebooks hardly ever run cool.

Exactly. Then add a discrete GPU to the mix and you get a roaster. It would be nice if they actually had one that didnt run hot as heck but they are still using the same cooling solutions from 10 years ago. Years ago Dell and HP had a sealed heatsink with water in it. No pump. The thermals and regular movement supposed to keep fluid moving. It worked better then the classic hollow copper tube and fan solution. The problem was size. It was thicker and it needed a larger pathway with more fins by the exhaust fans to get it done. Only was used for a few high end models then back to the classics again. I can think of how to make a closed loop system for a laptop sitting here so why cant they figure it out.
